That is correct, but only request a SAR if you want to for more data, otherwise continue with the reclaiming with the questionnaire as posted in my first post.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Insurance loan is ppi, you will not have 2 ppi for one loan. Do as Di has said and you wont go wrong. If you need any more help just shout.so if the insurance is the same as the ppi,why are they trying to sell me creditcare gold also?and if its decided they are repaying it back, how much of it do you get back?(sorry for all the questions, sorry if i sound a bit thick)0 -

Hiya
That's good news then, now the next time you hear should be to let you know about the decision they made, but you can keep in touch with them every so often as well if you want to.
It can be difficult to predict a timescale, but it can be from this stage as little as 6-8 weeks or the longest if things get complexed over a year at worst.
Where some take a matter of a few weeks with an adjudicator, others can go on longer, it also depends on how quick the bank or if they agree with the adjudicators decision, if they do not, then its normally moved on to the actual ombudsman himself which is why it can take a year or over.
Hope yours is resolved sooner rather than later, good luck.
And you do not sound dim, its curiosity.:D;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi,
As I have received some great advise on here previously thought I would try again.
My husband has a loan with LTSB however when he took the loan out he was employed and earning quite alot of money, however a month after taking out the loan he was made redundant.
Due to lack of jobs he went self employed as a plumber approx 1 and half years ago. From reading some of the other posts it would appear that the PPI he is paying for would now be useless should he need to claim.
Is this correct and if so should he cancel the PPI as it seems a waste of money. I was going to complain that it was mis-sold but not really sure it was.
Thanks0 -
Recently I subscribed to MSE and started reading about Missold PPI's. I have read about how to reclaim and still unsure about the first letter that I should write. I had a loan from barclays bank with ppi and I am within the six year limit. This was actually the second loan taken out. So anxious to get the ball rolling. I have the start date of the loan, the amount I was payng, the reference number but no other details. I have always been registered as self-employed with barclays bank. So when I applied for the loan had no idea that the ppi was optional and felt that I had to take the ppi otherwise my request would be rejected. So could someone pls tell me which is the first letter to be written. I thank you in advance.0

I would think that to claim unemployment now, your hubby would have to dissolve his business, so in that respect his employment has changed and he will not be eligible to claim on this, although you will still have the life cover. I would not cancel this ppi yet as they will increase the term and the apr, as they do a loan without ppi and you will not get the same term or apr as you did for the original. As i said look at the reasons for mis sell and if any apply to you get a letter sent off recorded delivery. Please keep us posted.0 -

Hi there
There is a reclaiming questionnaire that replaced the template letter on this site, complete and send to the head office of the bank that set up your account.
Keep copies of what you send and receive in case you need to refer to this again at some point.
They normally have 8 weeks to give a decision but may ask for more time, good luck.
Reclaiming questionnaire you will find on stage one of reclaiming on this link here;

Hi amersall
Oh blimey I cannot remember.
I know or think Marshallka may have been successful but not sure if that was in regards of a mis sold policy or the insurance refund/unfair rebate.
I should be hearing some news on mine by the 21 Jan from the FOS and that is the insurer, will let you know when I hear.
If I find the links I will post them up for you.
But I do recall on some posts about this too, maybe they are going very far back lol.;) XXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
