    Hi there

First of all good luck on your reclaiming.

The standard timescale is that of 8 weeks, but some acknowledge and others do not, but there is no harm in contacting the ones you have not heard from at all and ask them for an update.

    Fingers crossed ;)

    Hi there

What I do understand is it can be more difficult if an online sale, but this also depends on your reasons as well, maybe you would not have been eligible for it for some reason, yet it is also known that some online applications did not give any choice either, for example, the page would not allow you to go further with the application unless it was ticked for.
    But keep at them.;)

the other claim with my bank HSBC was a loan about 5 to 6 years ago which was signed for in person in my bank, the loan had the ppi included in with the loan and i was not asked if i wanted the ppi or not no option given and not explained fully,it was basically sign here, worked out they should owe me in the region of about £4000 or more, fingers crossed for this one

So a quick swift job then?
In, get signing and back out again sort of thing.

Well its definately a case, and I used to think PPI was all part of the loan and automatic, as it was not discussed otherwise.

Fingers crossed on this one as well.;)

    Hi and welcome

I assume you were mis sold the ppi on the loans you where you want to make a reclaim?

First of all if you do not have any paperwork and your sure of ppi was added and mis sold it for some reason, just as long as you have the loan account number that is a start.

To track down account numbers: if you bank online, they normally allow you to go back about 7 years online to check statements.
So if the loan repayments were debited from your bank account, the account number should be shown next to the monthly repayment.

You could optionally request a Subject Access Request (SAR), where they have 40 calendar days to comply, you enclose £10 cheque or postal order for this request, but say for instance you had a few loan accounts with the same company, then only One SAR is required, otherwise if all different company - you will need to request separately.
There is a SAR letter template on link below, it requests for an account number, but if you do not have this, then give them as many details as you possibly can, full name, date of birth, name changes, any addresses you lived in at the time of taking out the accounts and so on, this makes it easier for them to track your data down.
However, with a SAR normally they only go back the last 6 years, but some will send data even going back to earlier years if still held on files.

When you come to the reclaiming, you pursue the ones who set this up for you, so if you used a broker you pursue them.

You do this by completing the reclaiming questionnaire, as shown on the reclaim link below, this replaced the template letter.
Remember to keep all copies of you send and what you receive in case you need to refer to this at some point.
They normally have 8 weeks to give a decision.

Hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted.;)
