Hi again:),
I've just spoken with my wife, she's just had a phone call off a company who has claimed and I Quote" Maybe able to claim back money from the Abbey National when she was miss sold PPI, even when she took the loan out in 1998. We think the loan finished in 2003/2004. The company is called Claims Advisory Group. Has anybody come across this firm before and had any dealings with them. As I understand it, they take a percentage of the claim which I believe is at 39%. Also with the loan ending just over 6 years ago is it still possible to claim???
Please help as time is ticking:beer:
Hi Andy
Please do not use them, or any claims company for that matter, these companies tell us all the same, and because all our data are held on filing systems from when we all taken out finance, this is the only reason why they know we have taken out loans etc.
For any reclaiming, please have a go yourself with help from this site all free.:)
Lots have had no end of hassle using claims companies. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hello Everyone!
Please help, I've taken out a personal loan at HSBC in Nov. 2007 with a loan capital of £8,200.00 and a loan protection £1,200.10. This is according to my bank statements as I can't hardly think if I was asked any PPI when I took my PL. Now, I re-loan last June 2009 with a loan capital of £8,880 then I had a loan repayment of £5,218.90 and the bank refunded me for the loan protection which is £378.41. Am I still eligible to reclaim and how and don't you think its too late for me to act now? Please help, dont know what to do?
Many thanks!

Hi and welcome
Do you mean they rebated the amount of £378.41 when you taken out a further loan? Not actually refunded it?
Sorry if I have mis read.
But if you believe you were mis sold, you can of course make a reclaim with your reasons, do check the link below of the checklist reasons and check if any of them also apply to you.
If there were 2 loan ppi you were mis sold on you can reclaim on both, its not too late at all, as long as you have the account numbers, then go for it.
If there are separate reclaims, you can use the same reclaim questionnaire or separate, just as long as you enclose your account numbers.
Checklist here:

And reclaiming questionnaire here:

After completion of the above - send to whoever set up and sold you the policy from the start, keep all copies of what you send and what you receive in case you need to refer to them at some point.
They normally have 8 weeks, but they may ask for more time, there are backlogs as well, due to high volumes of these complaints.
Good luck with this. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi,
It's been 9 weeks since I helped my mate to contact HSBC regarding 2 loans with PPI, one loan is still running.
HSBC have sent a third letter yesterday, first two came at the same time just saying they needed another 4 weeks.
Yesterdays letter says they still need a little more time and will respond by 6th November, they've enclosed details about the FOS.
Guessing his best option is just to wait it out rather than going to the FOS straight away.... wait a few more weeks and then chase them if they try to delay again?

Hi and welcome
So you tried making a claim and they told you that you were not eligible then?
If so, you can try making a reclaim on this for this reason.
I would though still try to get separate protection that will cover all your requirements - as a stand alone option, you can google this online.
To make a reclaim, complete the reclaiming questionnaire below as stage one, keep copies of all you send and receive, in case you need to refer to it at some point.
They have 8 weeks but may ask for more time, good luck with this.
