2nd and 3rd is with black horse, and cooperative bank i dont have the loan/finance no and ive rang them but there system only goes back 5 yrs and the loan is appx 7yrs old, how do i go about getting these details?

argh im so tempted to just leave it all!! really hope someone can help me out, hope your all having lots of success xx

oh do i need to send that questionnaire??
  • I have read through a fair amount on here regarding claiming back ppi, but i haven't come across anythng about people trying to claim back on defaulted loans and credit cards.
Is it possible to claim back ppi on these accounts even if the credit owed was passed/sold on to a debt collection agency after a default?
    Thanks

Hi there, yes there have been claims when loans have defaulted.I f you have reasons for mis sell go for it,The debt will be reduced if you win mis sell (that has to be good?) if you win more than the card or loan balance you should have this paid back to you. Give it a go you have nothing to lose.x

I received a letter from the FOS saying that Blackhourse had agreed to make a offer to settle my complaint regarding the PPI policy, I signed the form 4 weeks ago and sent it back to the FOS but not heard anything since, does anyone think my claim will be put on hold?.

    Hi and welcome.

You always pursue the ones who arranged and set up the policies.

By completing a reclaiming questionnaire here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim

You can track down loan account numbers from banking statements, where the monthly repayments were made, the acc number should be shown next to them.
If you do online banking, this should allow you to go back up to about 7 years online.

Just as long as you have an account number and you know you were sold and mis sold the ppi for any reason, there is not really any need unless you do actually want these, you can continue to make a reclaim.

Remember to keep all copies of all you send and receive, in case you need to refer to them at some point, such as complain to the Financial ombudsman service.

    Good luck with this.

Hi, I have just been going through my Capital One statements to try to reclaim the charges and I notice PPI on it, I've been paying this since 2001! Can I reclaim this? Can I do the PPI with the charges together or do they need to be done separate?

    Thanks.

Hi there, if you have reasons for the ppi mis sell then put a claim in.Look here.

The charges and ppi must be done seperately.Hope this helps and good luck.
  • Hi all, new here so please be gentle. I have a question regarding this PPI thing. We have a loan with egg. We have had a letter from them last week offering us a cash settlement. I sent a letter accepting via recorded delivery last friday. Do you think they will try and wriggle out of it now or are they commited to paying out now they have made an offer? Thanks in advance :-)

    Hi Andy

    Well done to you, Congratulations.
    :beer::T:beer:

I believe they may do this with all refunds, its just that we don't notice this, so wheras they take this off before the refund...........this is what I just think mind you, but to my knowledge the tax is deducted before sending you the refund.;)
    Hi again:),

I've just spoken with my wife, she's just had a phone call off a company who has claimed and I Quote" Maybe able to claim back money from the Abbey National when she was miss sold PPI, even when she took the loan out in 1998. We think the loan finished in 2003/2004. The company is called Claims Advisory Group. Has anybody come across this firm before and had any dealings with them. As I understand it, they take a percentage of the claim which I believe is at 39%. Also with the loan ending just over 6 years ago is it still possible to claim???

Please help as time is ticking:beer:
