    can anyone help? i saw on daybreak today that i can reclaim ppi when on a debt mangement company. any idea how i do this? ive been with gregory pennington for around four years, i took out ppi on my loans and cards so fairly certain i can make a cliam, esp as some of the companys i used have allready been fined. im just not sure where i start?

    Just wondering if you are asking the same question as is bothering me. I am "under" debt management, and have agreements in place to pay off cards at a reduced rate of interest, or in some cases none. I want to pursue the possibility that some of my debts include a PPI element, but wonder if getting tough with my creditors will upset the delicate arrangements in place.

    Hi there

    I am aware if there is outstanding debt, any refund may be awarded directly to the debt/arrears owed and anything remaining plus interest should be refunded directly to you, but every company will vary, however if you have a plan in place, I assume this would still stay the same.;)

    Good luck on your reclaiming.

    Hi robbedof, these are the loan amounts for the one you said were right (thanks for that) could you please see if they have taken the refund off as they said they were taking the refund off the loan but flamingo80 is not sure if that is what they have done. Cheers in advance.x

    * start and end date of loan = 13th Aug 2005 - Aug 2012 (84 months)
    * the apr, = 6.70%
    * the ppi monthly amount = £41.62
    * the original loan amount without ppi, = £15,000

    hi, based on the other figures posted it looks like they have refunded the outstanding ppi to the loan only, and would be paying the ppi already paid back to the OP, it may be in the wording, (this can sometimes be contradictory)
    otherwise the outstanding loan amount would be much lower (by 2497 + the 8% simple)
    it would be worth the OP speaking to the lender for clarification.
    i have re-run the loan at the APR above without the ppi and the balance would be the 4804 as of now.

    Hi there, the creditors will be glad to get some money back, as if you win they take the refund off your debt.If they treat you any differesnt when you have put your claims in then you can complain to fos.Please do this reclaim yourself, do not use a company, as you could end up paying the company if your redress does not leave any money after creditors have been paid off.Good luck with this and please keep us posted.x

    Hi there

    Well done on your success.

    I would keep chasing the bank to be honest and tell them they have had ample time to deal with your refund, the interest should also be building up too.;)

    I would maybe email the Chief Executive officer (CEO), explain to them about your situation, and tell them you will have no option but to complain to the FOS with all written evidence of your complaint and decision correspondence from the bank that it was upheld, but your still waiting months on for your refund, ask that they get back by about 14-21 days maximum with your refund and to confirm your email.

    thx for the advice and email address, will get onto it 1st thing and let you all know with updates
