Hi does anyone know how long CC companies / banks are supposed to keep telephone records for?
I am being told by one lender that they have no record of a telephone call regarding my account when I know I made the call on that day.
Or I assume they might be selective with the records they want to produce?
Anyone had a similar experience?0 -

these numbers look to be correct,
you will get back what you have paid so far, + 8%, the 8% equates to approx £524 on top of the £2497
the difference between the 998.88 and 866.31 is because you will no longer be charged interest on the ppi portion so excluding interest the amount would be 866.31 (interest is added on a monthly basis)
well done on getting you money back. :beer::beer:0 -
Hi robbedof, these are the loan amounts for the one you said were right (thanks for that) could you please see if they have taken the refund off as they said they were taking the refund off the loan but flamingo80 is not sure if that is what they have done. Cheers in advance.x

* the apr, = 6.70%
* the ppi monthly amount = £41.62
* the original loan amount without ppi, = £15,000

Hi Matty
This may vary.
But with telephone calls, I think it was from Jan 2005 they would hold recordings on data, and written transcripts, but not sure about any earlier than that.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Was just looking for abit of guidence/help
To cut a long story short MBNA agreed to repay all overpayments and interest back to me on a loan I had with them, they said they would be in contact with me within 6 weeks with a final settlement figure and this would be there final offer anything else would need to go via FOS, this should of been no later then the 26th July. I gave them few more weeks knowing they were probably busy with other claims. On 27th august with still no reply I sent a follow up letter asking for a response to where the cheque for refund was.
As of yet no reply, I could send another letter but this could get lost on route or just ignored or I can contact the FOS but with already getting a response I don't really go down that route with the timescales it can take.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!0 -
Hi someone said when went the bank that i cannot make a complaint if the loan is over 6 years old . As a limitation period applies and loans before 2005 were not regulated by FSA. i think the bank sales person was again trying to put me off pursuing this The bank is halifax . My partner took the loan out in 2003 with ppi added without her knowing and misold but its over six years . Is there such a thing as time limitation to make a claim . Has there been any success stories in how far back people have claimed and won.:j
any advise would be great0 -
