• Hi robbedofmymoney,
Can you Privaely email your address to my private email address ncbutcher@hotmail.com as I do NOT have it here and I do not know how to get it from this website.
I will give you as much detail as possible. I started this loan in August 2004 and has been TOPPED up to this amount £8901.00 then the PPI was added to it. It was NOT part of the ORIGINAL loan of £5000.
I do NOT have the ORIGINAL LOAN details from 2004, I am sorry.
Can you do this quickly please as I am waiting on a reply from the FOS.

Hi Nick

i need to ask a couple of questions

have you won a miss sale for the ppi.

have you had any other form of rebate/refund for this (ie 8% simple)

what interest is currently being added to/has been added to the debt in its current form

it looks quite complex and confusing so i will need a bit of peice and qiuet to go through it properly for you.

i will get back to you by first thing tomorrow morning at the latest.

got screeming kids around at the moment and difficult to clearly digest everything.

cheers

• Robbedofmymoney,
I will answer your questions. Sorry to not answer earlier, but I was busy today as well.
The REFUND I got (the £2020.01 IS for the PPI miss sale). But if you look closely, the PPI refund taken off loan is £2281.97 which I did NOT get.
The interest rate is at that figure of 11.9% or 11.33%, I do not know what it is at present because it is in an IVA and has been since March 2007.
The amount which they are claiming in the IVA is £12,517.29 with £2281.97 refund which I did NOT get, but got £2020.01 the NEW total is £10,235.32
If you took off the £2020.01 (the amount I got as a (PPI REFUND in October 2009) from the £12,517.29 the ACUTAL figure of this loan is NOW £10,497.28.

So NOW I 3 COMPLETELY different amounts to this LOAN and Still I do NOT know which is CORRECT. I have £10,620.03 From April 2010, £10,235.32 from 5 August 2010 & NOW £10,497.28.
Egg has CHEATED me BIG TIME. I NEED some help
Anyone PLEASE.

• Hello again! About a month on from my first couple of posts and I've just received the information about my account from the Halifax - SAR letter worked! Some of it dates back to 1998 (the date the account was opened) and it consists of some statements, lots of screen shots and database listings of things like changes of address, missed payments etc. which should be useful. As I've been out of debt for four years now having this stuff in the house again has made me uneasy but I've got the questionnaire ready and I'm going ahead.

I estimate from looking at a few of the monthly payments that I paid around 2000gbp in PPI over ten years, although I'm hoping I don't have to calculate this accurately as I don't understand much of the paperwork. I gather that the paperwork will be required at the Ombudsman stage?

I'm still waiting for a reply to the SAR letter I sent to Santander.

• Help please
took out loan in december 2005 with loans .co.uk(broker) who arranged loan with first national loan £29,000 + ppi £7,830= £36,830. Made claim 2yrs ago via solicitor on 3rd solicitor as the previous 2 closed there litigation dept.dec 2010 loans .co.uk admitted ppi was missold and would make offer via solicitor. The only correspondance from solicitor is when i chase them.i chased them again today and was told that loans.co.uk had ceased trading and that another avenue would need to be explored and they would write to me to explain my options. I am now totally deflated and don"t known where to go, if anyone has been in a similar situation your advice would be appreicated please.

As this was after regulations of insurance took place in Jan 2005 and your broker is not trading you should now be able to take the complaint yourself to the FSCS.

http://www.fscs.org.uk/

You should also be allowed to walk away from your contract with solicitors as it has been dragging for 2 years and changed solicitors etc FREE of charges regardless of contracts I would think.

Can I ask who your solicitors were and what contract you signed with them. Its actually easy to deal with your complaint now as its with the FSCS and if Loans.co.uk are declared in default (I have checked though and there is nothing as yet as I can see!!!) and on their register you should be able to seek your compensation that way.

Do you know a date when they ceased trading perhaps???? I know that MBNA own them since 2005??? I think they may still be trading actually according to posts on here.
