OMG, wow, my workings out without the interest.......

40 per month x times by 12 months then x that by 20 years, wait for it.............£9600, and of course there is interest and 8% interest to go on top of that again, also the £200...........:T:T:T:T:T

Think it was Robbedofmymoney who told me previously on here, but the monthly compounded interest would equate to a massive amount, plus the 8% simple interest, plus the re evaluation of the account with my payments as if the PPI had not been added, plus the refund of all of the charges incurred with compounded and simple interest, plus the £200......................... :j
It could be a very large total and well worth the 2 and a half year wait....

To cut a long story short the Ombudsman has found in my favour.
They have stated that Lloyds failed to advise and inform me properly.
Lloyds will have to reconstruct my account from October 1987 and reimburse all of my card PPI payments plus interest and charges. They will have to add 8% on any credit balance for any period.
They have also said that Lloyds should assume that I would have made the same payment each month even if the PPI had not been added therefore removing any interest and charges that would not have applied if these paymens had reduced the balance by more because no PPI premium was added.
I have also been awarded a £200 distress payment.
It is the result I wanted and I will send the acceptance, recorded delivery, tomorrow.
Havent a clue what the final ammount will be but all I can say is that the average PPI payment over the 20 years was about £40 per month!!!!!!!!!!
    Will keep you updated.
A big thank you and a good nights sleep tonight for sure.
:beer::beer: WOW whoopee doo:T:T:T:T really chuffed for you :D:D:D everything comes to those who wait :rotfl::rotfl:

Bugsy hope your okay after all that excitement yesterday :T:j.

Post your acceptance in by recorded delivery, as soon as they receive this, the FOS will send a copy over the following days to Lloyds, then the FOS will send you a letter to confirm this.

The FOS then ask that you contact them if you've not heard by 4 weeks from the date of the letter you received from the fos.
They then get on their back to chase your money up.;)

I've just posted the complaint and refund request off to the company who sold the PPI on my partner's loan.

She's a tad on the naive and vunerable side and has signed up to pay these cowboys a total of £12,000 inc interest over 5 years! She's already been paying for 2 1/2 years, so hopefully she'll be getting back what's due to her. Even though we've requested full details of the amounts paid for the PPI, the company has still failed to do so.

One thing that also made me scratch my head a bit, was the signatures on the original application form copies she'd received the other day. One was from the salesman and the other was of a witness. Only one salesman came to see her and no witness was there to sign the application. The witness signature is from the same date and the guy who signed it lives in Horwich, wherever that is? :naughty: Must have been a time traveller.

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed ;)

Hi that is potentially financial fraud. I would file a complaint to the local CID at your police station. Also I am not up to speed on unenforceability - maybe someone else can show you the MSE sticky about that or comment, but fraudulently completed form by the financial company in addition to having no signature from your partner could mean the loan is unenforceable.
PPI compensation claims paid: Egg Card: £1,107, Alliance & Leicester: £2,425
PPI claims agreed: Lloyds TSB Loansdirect: £16,551, Lloyds TSB Advance Card: £9,360
    PPI claims pending: RBS/NatWest Visa Gold Card: £10,734, Barclaycard: £9,375, Barclaycard loans: £2,400, LTSB (4 loans, '90s): £11,670, M&S: £1,351. Plus..
    TOTAL PPI reclaim: £67,000
