PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Go for it, this is bad. If people are not willing to handle your case quicker, i would make clear, politly that you, your bank etc have a certain period of time to sort out issues such as this. However, you can understand their heavy work load. I would request for him/her to deal. If you are refused i would then with it a much more experienced member of the team to deal with your case.
At the very least i would have her faxed by the bank, whilst you are, ( make sure it is addressed to her - not her dept). Request an e-mail within one week of receiving the fax and updated on a weekly basis.
What does everyone else think?0 -

If i were you i would email the person who is dealing with your case and tell them you think you have been treated unfairly and you would like to put a complaint in about the fos timescale on your case, and could they please tell you who to put your complaint in to.This could be worth a shot, so go for it x
I have just e mailed the FOS to express my concerns but am going to send a letter to the CEO this aftenoon.
I am a very patient person but when I sit back and think about it, having to wait over 2 and half years is dumb founding.
I am frightened to tell too many people about it as I dont want to put people off complaining but realistically it is an obscene amount of time to wait.
My concern about complaining to the FOS has always been one of not wanting to p*** them off and affect my claim but I feel that my patience has been taken advantage of.0 -
Hi there, this is a good suggestion, but on the fos website they have a list of senior ombudsman who you can complain to about the way you have been treated by the fos, i think this would be the way to go initially, as i have suggested bugsy to let the case worker know that you are prepared to take this up as high as is able, an email asking who to complain to about the complaint, may just give this claim the hands up it needs x
I thought so, but thought that they might use that if the claim continued to drag on - just a thought.0 -
Hi,
Please can someone help me with the following.
I sent a letter off to Yorkshire Bank requesting a copy of my original loan agreement and have instead received a questionaire to complete to allow them to investigate my complaint.
The letter I sent just asks for a copy of my original agreement, etc.
My problem is that although I'd love to complete the questionaire and get them looking into a claim, it requests I include the documents they haven't sent me.
Does anyone know if I need to include these documents as the way I see it, the bank should have a copy of my original agreement hence I shouldn't need to provide them with a copy.
If relevant also, I do have a personal loan statement which shows on there my original loan amount and PPI also (although it doesn't make it clear when I first took out my loan).0 -

I have just sent my letter to the CEO, Natalie Ceeney, as I thought I may as well go to the top.
I have been very honest and understanding in my letter whilst, at the same time, been firm as to what action I want taking.
I have asked that they email me confirmation of receipt of my letter.
Thanks for the help and I will cetainly keep you posted as to any kind of response I get from the CEO.0 -

Supposedly had success on one of my claims (for the card that is still active), but not received anything yet for the card that is no longer active...has anyone had any problems with their claims? ie if you had 2 cards with the same company, cancelled one and tried to make a claim back for the PPI charges many years later? I guess I am getting a little worried!
Also Lloyds have said they will give me a refund but have not given an exact figure, is this usual? Do I just send off the acceptance slip and hope they give me all that they owe me?
The main reason I am worried is I am unsure if they are obligated to pay the whole lot or just anything within the last 6 years??
With regard to the closed card would they be obligated to pay anything??!!Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410
Target for Dec 2011: £17000
Lloyds - Early Jan: £[STRIKE]2040[/STRIKE] Feb: £[STRIKE]2050[/STRIKE] Mar: £0
Other Lloyds @ highest: £9800 Feb: £9800
Current debt: £234200 -
Hi there, is this loan still running? if it was paid for by dd check your dd as it will give you the start date on there, just send them what you have.If this loan is old (they only keep data for 6 years) this may be why they dont have the agreement, i won mis sell for a friend with just 2 settlement figures! good luck with this x
Thanks for the info.
The loan ran from Sep 03-08 but I've completed the form and sent it off with a copy of my last statement which showed loan amount, PPI amount, loan duration and start date (didn't realise it was there until I looked further). Hopefully enough for them, just a matter of waiting now and I'll update on this as and when.0
