Hi Di mentioned about going down the insurer route, I had one with Central Capital who weren't regulated.

    Hi there,
Wondered if anyone could help? Had PPI with
GE money since 1998 but unfortunately can't go through the FOS as they weren't a registered company then. Would like to go through the moneyclaims online route but wouldn't know how to go about it. Any ideas out there?

    Hi there

As also Halphy says, you could try the insurer route, althought its likely they will also say no, but the FOS will still be able to investigate and are also trying to make these liable as well.

So like myself, others have gone this direction, it may take a little time, but its another avenue on trying to get your money back.
So call the FOS as a general query and explain your situation, they will possibly state the insurer/underwriter direction.

You can request for the "insurance policy details" from the lender.

Good luck, do not give up on this yet.;)

    Hi Di
Just to update you I sent a letter off to MBNA after you kindly gave me their address. I received a letter this morning saying they are investigating my complaint and will get back to me in 28days. This sounds strange unlike barclays who wanted £10 for the information I requested. Will let you know how its goes. Once again thanks for you help.
