They rejected my claim on the grounds that I would have benefited from hospitalisation and life cover.
I informed them that I should not have been paying for something that I was not fully cover for.
Oh yes they are right :p NOT.. you obviously knew you were covered for hospitalisation , that is why you did not claim it:D
Go to fos and good luck with this, we won a mis sell after a refusal with yorkshire bank as my hubby was made redundant and had we known we had ppi we would have claimed on this.Good luck and keep us posted.

    Thanks amersall for your help.
I did not make a claim when I was hospitalised as I think when I took the credit card out you were only covered if you were in employment.
So that has blown lloyds reason for not upholding out of the water, as to claim hospitalisation you have to be employed!!! also i am sure you have a life insurance? so that life cover on ppi is no good either.
Go to fos, today, lloyds make me sick:mad:

I emailed LLoydsTSB and Mr Daniels last week to ask them to take another look at my claim for mis-sold PPI. I received a letter this morning saying that they stand by their decision to refuse my claim. How can they refuse it when I was not working when I took the credit card out and was unlikely to work as I was looking after my disabled husband.
So it looks like I will have to get in touch with the FOS.
Do you think I could win. This is money I could do with.
    Many thanks in advance.

I am so sorry to hear this and your so right that they should have upheld due to your reasons, not working etc, however did you also point out that as a genuine complaint, you don't feel if was investigated properly and the FSA are punishing banks for this reason and for not upholding genuine complaints?

I would still complain to the FOS, but send them (lloyds) a letter in the post to the reclaiming section of where you received your letter, tell them you have also sent one to the CEO Mr Eric Daniels separately.

    Mr Eric Daniels (CEO)
Address: Lloyds TSB Group, 25 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7HN

I would feel very bitter about this too, its a genuine complaint, maybe they will get their act together and decide to change the decision, with this company you always have to be on top of them.

Meanwhile complain to the FOS if you want to and with a bit of luck lloyds will get back to you with a better response, and if they do and your complaint is with the FOS by then and your happy with the decision, just let the FOS know.

    Hope this helps X;)

I am actually wondering if the email was actually read by the CEO, so a hardcopy "maybe worthwhile".

    Hi honey

    Thank you.:A
Hey your doing a fab job, well done!:T:j;).

I am back and forth, not being able to post much in the day.

I read Sylivia's post and sooooo annoyed with LLOYDS......., honestly lloyds have not got a clue, but if this does go as far as the FOS, I hope they award Sylvia further redress for the distress and inconvenience this have caused her.
I would be requesting for this on the complaint form to be honest.

Hope all are keeping well. XXXX:)

    Hi Amersall and Di,
Just an update on my 2 and a half year FOS wait.
I emailed the FOS 3 times on Tuesday and also sent a letter to Natalie Ceeney, the Chief Ombudsman.
The letter was very polite expresssing my concern as to how long I had been waiting and I asked for an email to confirm receipt of my letter.
Got an email back from her executive assistant saying that Ms Ceeney is aware of my comments and they are currently receiving attention.
Will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
