pinkprincess99 wrote: »Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me. I wrote a letter to RBS on 9 December regarding PPI claim for 5 loans. They wrote to me on 16 December acknowledging the letter and again on 4 January to tell me they were investigating.
I called them this morning as it is now 8 weeks and they advised that the letter originally seemed to go round the houses and the correct department did not receive the letter until 2 January. They also told me that they are waiting for the information to come from the branch and that is where they are at with the case. I told him that I originally requested the information from RBS on 29 November and I received this a few days later. I don't understand why this is taking them so long to respond. Is there anything else i could or should be doing.
Thanks
You have given them 8weeks send a complaint to the FO. I did and they caved. I should be getting cheque any day now. They refused to pay out one on one but they will pay out when they know the FO invoved see my postsMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

pinkprincess99 wrote: »Thanks, but when does the 8 weeks start? Is this the date the letter was sent, or the date they are claiming it arrived in the correct department?
Thanks
I've always used the date of the letter as they should really only receive the complaint 1 working day later.
By the way, RBS did that to me when I was reclaiming bank charges. As did A and L. I really think it's a stalling tactic, to see how dogged you are. I ended up getting money out of both of them, so stick in there!0 -

I have a claim for Tesco PF/RBS with FOS at the moment.
How long has your complaint been with them, mine has been about four weeks now, they say that they are waiting for Tesco PF/RBS to send them the file, I have tried to speak to Tesco PF/RBS but they now will not speak to me only through FOS.0 -

My complaint has been with them since March 2008!!! It is horrendous the wait. The FO wrote to Welcome finance for me to get copy paperwork etc but to be appointed an adjudicator and get a final decision you are looking at a 12month wait. Its crap. I tried to argue financial hardship to speed it up as i on a debt management programme but unless you are about to be evicted from your house or summat you join the queue. SorryMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

If you mean about the RBs case it was with the FO few months before i got a letter saying RBS as a goodwill gesture were refunding. It didnt get as far as an adjudicator etcMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

Hi Rosemahairy.
That sounds about right I have some going back to January. One is meant to be with an adjudicator the other has not even been assigned one yet.:mad:0 -
Hi All,
When were companies supposed to record any telephone conversations ? (from what year) and would they be allowed to withhold them from you when requesting a SAR ?
Thanks
Hi Kazc. Not sure when they started recording tel cons so have bought this down in case it is missed. They should not be allowed to withhold them from you when requesting a SAR. Be Specific about asking for them.:mad:0 -

Hi kazc
I may be wrong but I think as from 2005 calls this became more common sort of thing. (for them to be recorded)
I assumed they should disclose this info by either recordings or transcripts of calls with dates, times and what the query was about etc otherwise.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I'm a little bit confused as to whether I am able to claim for insurance taken out on a Tesco credit card, Capital One credit card and HSBC loan, I am now dealing with Payplan making reduced payments on all the cards and HSBC have now changed the loan to a Managed Loan account. As I have broken the terms of the original agreement am I able to claim back the insurance I had previously paid on them as its no longer valid?
Thanks
