Woke up to this in my inbox this morning

Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me. I wrote a letter to RBS on 9 December regarding PPI claim for 5 loans. They wrote to me on 16 December acknowledging the letter and again on 4 January to tell me they were investigating.
I called them this morning as it is now 8 weeks and they advised that the letter originally seemed to go round the houses and the correct department did not receive the letter until 2 January. They also told me that they are waiting for the information to come from the branch and that is where they are at with the case. I told him that I originally requested the information from RBS on 29 November and I received this a few days later. I don't understand why this is taking them so long to respond. Is there anything else i could or should be doing.

I take it you are still fighting this Firstplus thing. I told you I tried with them all that you are now trying through the Ombudsman and each was turned down. Just waiting for my final response from Lloyds of London. May give them a call today.0 -

Marsh, if it all fails then I can put you in touch with a good lawyer, who will take your case on no win no fee, and also you get 100% of the payout.0

Thanks, but when does the 8 weeks start? Is this the date the letter was sent, or the date they are claiming it arrived in the correct department?

The 8 weeks start from the date of the letter.0

Hi everyone
Still no call recordings from EGG, called the ICO yesterday as they are looking into my complaint and they told me they have a back log of work going back to June 08:eek:
I also mentioned that it maybe needs to be raised that a lot of companies are with-holding telephone calls. The lady advised me to put this in as further info to my complaint.:wave:0 -
Hey
Just a quick note to let everyone know i have been talking to the FO and they inform me they are now dealing with PPI recalim complaints submitted in January 2008. Mine was submitted March and they said it will be another couple months before resolution as they very very busy in this area. I hope this gives people an idea of the FO timescale, its driving me nuts waiting lol
Cheers

Hi All,
When were companies supposed to record any telephone conversations ? (from what year) and would they be allowed to withhold them from you when requesting a SAR ?
