    Hi Everyone,

I purchased some things at Currys in 2003 and was missold PPI. I never need PPI because I am on DLA and signed off work for life. When my loan term came to an end with HFC Bank, I asked for an original copy of the agreement and upon receiving it, saw that the box for signing for PPI had actually a typed in X (not a hand-written one as if done by myself).

Now, after reading of all your successful stories, I need help in pursuing the repayment of missold PPI. The loan ended on 6th November 2006.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, if any of the above information needed has been posted somewhere but 589 pages is a LOT to go through. :)

My mum has just died and I think she was mis-sold PPI for a bank loan. As executor can I make a claim on behalf of her estate? Thanks in advance to everyone who can help.

    Hi and welcome.

Well it seems like you have a good case with your reasons.

Now instead of writing a letter to reclaim, what is best now is to complete the FOS questionnaire (the financial ombudsman service) FOS, recently issued these for use of reclaiming from whoever set up and sold you the policy.
Complete and save a copy, and sent to who is responsible for mis selling the ppi to you, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, and post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

You will find the FOS questionnaire on below link further down the page as Stage one.

Good luck with this, please keep us posted and ask for help anytime.

OMG Jamie, I am so sorry to hear this.
I understand as an Executor your able to make a reclaim on this, but hopefully someone will clarify on this.

For more on reclaiming, there is more useful info on link below with questionnaire to sent to who is responsible for setting this up, and this is used instead of writing a letter.

However, its a matter of choice, if you prefer to write a letter due to the circumstances then that is fine, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

Hope all goes well and please keep us posted.;)

Thanks very much for help, I will print off the FOS Questionnaire and send it to HFC. The only problem being that their address is a PO box, can you send registered post to a PO Box?

I thought I would be entitled to repayment but was unsure how to go about it until someone recommended this site.:)

    Hi there and welcome

I don't think so but the link below I will post will have some useful info and should also enclose details of the ones who have been fined for mis selling ppi.

However, if you have any reason for being mis sold the PPI, you can still make a reclaim, again the details are on the link below, with also the guidelines of reclaiming.

Good luck and ask for help if required.:)
