Thanks Di. Which letter do you suggest? My account is still active and i have 1 or 2 statements but can't find any paperwork.

If you only want something to show that PPI was taken, then the agreement for a £1 would be fine.

However SAR's are useful if you require further information, which should include most details, of when this was taken out, the amount, the ppi, statements and so on.
And this one as you know is £10.

I do not use a template for the agreement request, just write in my own words and enclose the £1 requested payment and ask they supply by the 12 days.

So its entirely up to you.;)

Ok, I think I'm ready to send. Do I send it to Nationwide's head office address? Should I put a particular department or just send to head office?

    Hi

Head office should be fine, they will then forward on to the relevant dept, post by recorded delivery as well, they will know that you can check when it was signed and posted.;)

  • I've just received a letter from Lloyds TSB saying that they are going to pay me back £1797.07. This is from 1998 - 2004/5 (ish) I just gave it a go on the off-chance. If you had a claim from as long ago as I did please give it a go!
Thanks for making it so easy for me!!

Can I ask when you made the claim and is it for credit card PPI?
Have they provided you a breakdown of the reimbursement?
Have they also included interest and, if so, is it the compounded APR for the card or the statutory 8% that you would receive if you went to court?
Sorry for all the questions but it is important to see what kind of game they are playing at the moment.
The history of Lloyds TSB is that they do 3 things,
    1. Ignore a claim
    2. Refuse a claim
    3. Offer a payment of a claim, but of a vastly reduced amount from that which you are entitled to. They do this in order to play on the nature of our human psycology.
We all can be lulled into a false sense of satisfaction that we have been offered a payment which means we have won and also the payment offered is one that we never expected to get, and is therefore treated as an unexpected windfall. The banks know this and will take on the appearance of the 'caring' bank.
I hope that you have received all that you are entitled to, and more but be very, very wary of the way in which the Lloyds TSB machine works.

Hi Di, Hope you are well.

When you received your Lloyds TSB credit card PPI refunds did they apply the APR interest now or applicable to the card at the time? I know that the FOS stipulate the 8% simple be added only if a credit balance is produced.

Hi I am fine thank you, hope your well too.

I settled the credit card back in 2004.

I can't really remember exactly now, but did receive all the interest as ordered by the FOS etc, as it was well over a year ago now, if I find the letter I shall post up to let you know.;)
