PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi there
If this is in regards of LLoyds maybe you could email the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), I believe his details are:
Eric.Daniels@lloydstsb.com
or co.uk one of them.
Good luck with this.:)
Just a quick update, I have spoken to the FOS and they are in contact with the bank, but my case has not been given to an ajudicator as yet. Do you think it would help if I emailed the CEO as above? The bank have agreed that I was missold, but they were very unhelpful when it came to working out the figures for repayment. This is why I sent it to the FOS, but this has now been going on for 6 months altogether and I just want some money! :rotfl:
Thanks for all the support and advice on here it is fantastic.0 -
Morning everyone,
Just got my letter from John Lewis Financial services re my PPI. They state that the PPI was opened during a telephone call and all of their operators are fully trained. They are also stating that as I went into arrears last year and most normal people check their statements every month then i should have known about PPI and also that I could cancel it at any point. They have also said that this is their final response and I can now go to the ombudsman. So that's what I'm gonna do and I'm also going to enclose a copy of my employment contract and also my separate critical illness and life assurance policy. So while their employees may have been trained no-one pointed out that with the previous 3 mentioned items I didn't need PPI with my card, nor did they point out that I could get PPI cheaper elsewhere.
Does anyone think I am flogging a dead horse so to speak?

Hi LL
Its makes you feel so angry and ignored when this happens doesn't it?
Some banks however still change their minds even after receiving a final decision, so you could (if you want to) give them something like 5-7 days to reconsider again, then tell them if you still don't receive a favourable response, you will then move on to the FOS which will occur further charges to themselves if your successful, make them aware you are sending all the evidence you have as you still strongly believe the policy was mis sold, where you are now giving the opportunity for them to look further into your complaint and give a response by 5-7 days deadline.
Tell them you believe your complaint was overlooked and not investigated properly. Trained advisers or not, they did not sell the policy in your interest.
Another thing you can do is request for a copy of the telephone recordings, as they did say it was a telephone sale and your requesting for a copy of the calls for your interest/records.
Either way though, the FOS should solve this for you, but do request for a copy of the calls.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi and yes go for it, there is no harm in emailing.
And if you do succeed, you can always then confirm to the FOS.
Fingers crossed.:D;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Dont ever give up, you have a good case.
The financial institutions rely on people giving up. On average only 6 people in 100 complain to the Ombudsman because the 'so called' caring financial institutions baffle the customer with corporate technical jargon as to why they are right and you are wrong.
The phrase 'fully trained' is as washy as my mums soap powder.
The product has to have been sold in your best interests taking your exisitng circumstances into consideration at the point of sale. This was obviously not done.
Complain to the Ombudsman and enclose the correspondence that you have stated. If the Ombudsman needs any more information then they will ask for it.0 -
Bugsy and Di thank you! I think I will write to JLFS first and nicely ask them to re-investigate, then go to the ombudsman.
I'll keep you all posted.

Just tell them, you understand you have already been given a final response, but you feel your case have been overlooked, and you are giving them the opportunity to re-consider your complaint, to avoid them ocurring extra charges upon themselves if successful with the FOS.
And tell them you understand they must have copy of the phone recordings due to what you have been informed of it being a telephone sale of the policy - and you wish them to send you a copy.
And of course if they can write back by 5-7 days deadline in order for you to take your complaint to the FOS or not, depending on the decision they give.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
With it being John Lewis Financial I have some email details here of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO, I believe he is then obviously the manager for this company then.
andy_street@johnlewis.co.uk
I copied and pasted the email, so I imagine there would be a . in the middle somewhere................
andy.street@johnlewis.co.uk

Edited, try to the top one first if you need to email - if that comes back as undeliverable then try the 2nd one.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I have had one adjudicator who found in my favour in on March 12th 2010 and told Lloyds the same. They didnt even bother to respond so I am now in the Ombudsman queue.
How come you have had 4 adjudicators?
Do not know Bugsy seem to keep leaving once they take this one on.:rotfl::mad:0
