Hello,

I posted back in March(23rd and 24th) about my two separate PPI claims, credit card and loan(settled early).

As I promised then I now have some new developments that I would like to update everyone. The credit card PPI claim was acknowledged by Lloyds and they have agreed to refund this to me. At the moment I have not received anything yet but I will write back to them to get an update.

As for my loan PPI claim, it took a while and Lloyds did not acknowledged my claim and insisted that they have done nothing wrong. So I sent everything to the Ombudsman, included all documents sent and received. Lloyds initially offered me a measly £200 for some kind of sliding scale points but did not confirm that they have done anything wrong.

I waited for the Ombudsman's reply without raising my hopes up. This week, I got a letter and that the Ombudsman has agreed on my favour. This is excellent news and it goes to show that if you stick to your guns you will prevail. I am not sure if this is going to work for everyone but certainly it worked. Just keep all the documents with you, photocopy before you send anything that you did not write and hope for the best.

Even when Lloyds presented a very good case with their detailed explanations they were still found guilty of mis-selling. All I did was maintain that I was not aware of the PPI additions(which is true) and stick with that argument.

I would like to thank di3004 for her help and advice. I will post the full amount of compensation to the PPI success forum when I had the final amount.

Thanks.

Wow, fantastic and Congratulations! :T:beer::j

And your very welcome!:A

Hope you receive your money very soon, but any problem, here are some email details that I find very useful, if you do email LLoyds though do let the FOS know especially on the case they have dealt with, so they are in the picture, for instance if your waiting too long for the payout.;)

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

And if you also want to copy and forward the email sent to the above,
(The chief Executive officer) CEO Eric.Daniels@lloydstsb.co.uk

So happy for you, well done and also thanks for your encouraging advice for others as well.:beer:
