hi this was a loan i took out 2002 for £10000 over 5 years so the loan is completly paid off and i won my case after going to the FOS

Can you tell us what you're complaint about the mis-sell was? I know I complained about existing health conditions, signing where we were told to sign and a couple of other things.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

hi i will explain my situation first
was told 3 months ago that my claim against the clydesdale had been upheld and i should be settled within 8 weeks(my calculation just over £3000), so i contated them after 4 weeks to see how my claim was going and was told that they had just moved premises and things had been held back but i should be settled within 2 weeks as they had taken on extra staff to help with the back log , So after 2 weeks i contacted them again and was told that things were still busy and i should hear something within 1 -2 weeks. I then left it for 3 weeks and still nothing so i contacted the FOS to see if they could do something and they contacted me to tell me the Clydesdale had told them that they had just moved premises but all claims should be dealt with within 12 weeks instead of the usual 8 weeks deadline. The 12 weeks deadline was up last week so i again contacted them and was told again i would hear something this week and guess what i phoned again today and was told that things were still busy i should have a settlement within 2-3 weeks. So you can understand me going off on one and was then told that if i phone back tomorrow they will try and give me a date for settlement. Couple of questions ,now nothing surer i will phone tomorrow and be told they cant tell me a date but i will be settled shortly is there anyone else i can contact to chase this up and after being given notice that i would receive my settlement more than 2 months ago i increased certain payments to credit card bills etc, but some of these have been returned as i haven't had enough funds into cover these, can i claim the bank charges back for these due to me expecting these funds to be freed up to me

LOL, cheers amersall and OMG, oh can I have missed this one?:o, cheers for posting though, your a gem.:A;).

Right then 285741, you have waited long enough, think its time to email the Chief Executive Officer (CEO),although you may not hear directly from them, he or she will push the refunds team to push on with this.
I would also mention you have considered contacted the FSA to complain about this matter.

It worked in my experience, although not the same bank, so hopefully it will be the same for you too, I will try to find the details and send you a pm okay.;)

  • Hi all, i'm new to this so forgive my ignorance or mistakes if I make any.

I'm trying to find out if it is worth pursuing a PPI claim from Capital One. I have a credit card account with them and have since 03, however i'm pretty sure I didn't agree to any PPI.
I sent an email to Capital One, see the full email and response below, but i'm not sure on how to proceed. Shall I complete the docs on here and send them anyway?? All your help is very much appreciated!!

    Thanks

Hi, Can you please send me a copy of the Purchase Protection Agreement I have signed. I do not recall agreeing to this charge being leived on my account? Many Thanks Thank you for your message. I understand that you don't remember agreeing to the payment protection insurance (PPI) policy. Having reviewed your application, I can see that you didn't ask for PPI at that time. However, our records show that we offered you the policy during a phone call on 20 June 2003. Whenever we offer PPI, we always ask our customers if they'd like to take advantage of this cover and explain the criteria for having it. And before adding it to their account, we ask them to confirm that they want this. Also on your statement, we tell you how much PPI we're adding that month. The amount of insurance that you pay will depend upon your balance during that month. If you have any other queries, please send us a further secure message.
