PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

hi everyone,
can anyone advise me on barclays ppi, they offered to pay it back aswell as interest, they now say have to take out a new loan at same interest rate to get it back - about
time. is this our only option as they will not advise us apart from us accepting this or not and will not give us any guidence, do you know what we should not do, also cheeky
and asked for compensation due to their attitude, costs, stress, lack of and confusing, conflicting info, please help. so far this has only been said via phone call.
Worried this will cost more, would it be worth doing it or are we being laughted at as they havnt responded before now, still nothing in writing, been conned by them before.
new loan and new agreement, what can i do if they dont keep up with their word as they havnt done before, say one thing and then deny it.
dont think it will be refunded. GOT NOTHING IN WRITING0 -

Two points to think about:
One: Make sure you can afford to pay them, because any money won will come off your balances.
Two: Remember to Add 17.5% VAT onto the 25% they charge...
Now the bad side: I received an invoice on Friday 06th March, dated 02nd March. On the same day I received an email with the following language:
I have been trying to email and call you regarding outstanding invoice you have with us claim reference : and
You do need to give me a call regarding this , failure to this matter will be escalated to legal department and you will be incurring daily interest charge on your invoice
For any further clarity please let me know on 08458740095 and ask for Abi, I am dealing with your invoice
Naturally I was a bit aggrieved about this and rang, only to be told that it was standard practice. I then received similar emails every day.
So good service upfront, but afterwards, service akin to a large bloke called 'Dodger' turning up at your door with a cricket bat and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Eventually I ended up making them wait for 13/14 days for the cheque, and for every email they sent me, I sent at least fifty back deploring their aftersales service... Childish maybe, but (for me) morally satisfying.
So Basically you paid over £1,000 to a company for something you could have done for about 50p?? I am seriously in the wrong job.
I have dealt with Empire Claims, and on the last case I received from them they sent me someone else's bank details, address, and other personal info. Hope this hasn't happened to you as well.I tell ambulance chasers where to go for a living, but am willing to help genuine claimants0 -

Hi and well done
All banks vary in how they refund, but hopefully someone will post who have had dealings with these with some info for you, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
thanks so much, they have always verbally lied, had enough.
Thanks for responding, don't feel so lonely or stupid now0 -
Further to a post on this thread a few weeks ago, i spoke to tesco re my relatives potentially missold PPI on a loan he has out with them.
After being passed from pillar to post, being disconnected twice, and being redirected to the department i had spoken to minutes earlier , it is as follows:
A) he cant claim for his illness even though it wasnt offically diagnosed when he took the loan out
b) i can send a letter of complaint on his behalf stating that we think he has been mis-sold this ppi.. he recalls phoning tesco to ask about him being off sick when he took the loan out, and was apparently told to still take the ppi as it hadnt been offically diagnosed.. whether this will hold any weight as it probably wasnt recorded is another matter i expect.
Can anyone tell me where I can get the letter templates for missold ppis? i cant find them thanks you:)0 -

Hi there
Good luck with all of your reclaims.
That is correct, they all have 8 weeks in full to respond, some will respond sooner and some will request for extra time, however once 8 weeks have passed you should be able to take your complaint to the FOS if you still hear nothing, but its up to you if you then want to give them a little longer, as many have backlogs of these complaints to deal with.
Some take 8 weeks as from the date on the letter, and others when they receive them.
Hope this helps, good luck.;)
Cheers Di  Will wait and see what happens in the next week or so as it will be 8 weeks on Monday since sending the letters. Am happy to wait for a bit anyway so will at least give them the chance to review and respond before going the FOS if necessary.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. £3154.78 PPI reclaimed from Sainsurys :j
