Thank you so much. I have my policy number and it is a single policy with the insurance totally over £5k, let's just hope I can get some, if not all of this back. If I got it all that would be great and it would pay off all my unsecured debt.
I took it out in November 2004 so coming up to 6 years now.
How would I get intouch with the broker loans.co.uk ? any ideas?

Hi hun and your welcome and of course as you have the account numbers that does help.
I would contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) to ask for the address details of loans.co.uk cos I am not sure if there have been some changes with this broker, so contact the FOS here who should be able to give you the direct details:

Please keep us posted on this, cheers and the very best of luck.X

    Thank you.
Just got off the phone to a very polite gent at FOS and the most up to date address for loans.co.uk limited is:

    chester business park
    wrexham road
    chester
    ch4 9fb

I will write to them now, just been reading the final notice issued to them by fsa in 2006 seems like they've been very naughty with the old single policy agreements and incomplete info given to their customers.
Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Clear Secured debts by 43. 8yrs.Clear Unsecured debt by 39. 4yrs. Gain full control of my finances by 36. 1yr.Keep my head above water. Today.

am I right in thinking though, that even though the loan was with First National (GE Money) because loans.co.uk brokered the deal the claim should go to them?

Sorry for not getting you back sooner, it would be loans.co.uk if they arranged and set this up - you write to.;) The other was the lender.:)

Some can be a broker and lender to the loan, but others are loan brokers like yours who set yours up.

    Hi there

Any statements you have, and maybe if you paid through your bank account, the account numbers should be shown next to the repayments, if your still with the same bank where you made these repayments, and bank online this should allow you to go back 6 years.

Another way is to write to them with as many details as you can, such as the address where you lived at the time and your updated address, Date of birth, full name and also any name changes and so on, enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, and tell them you are requesting for a copy of your agreement and you enclose all full details, if you remember the year you taken this out, write the year down too, then make them aware you have enclosed the payment and expect to receive this by 12 days.

Are any of the accounts still running?

    Hope this helps, good luck.;)

Thankyou for the swift reply. Unfortunatly we paid on a payment card through YCF, so have no details through the bank. The debts are now paid as we took the loan in 2000. I just thought I could go through some company to find this out. As they are no longer trading does this mean I can't claim the PPI?
