Hi Buffy, not been around the past few days but am gad to see you're out of the blues for now.
Re the loan overpayment - you will need to check with the bank if you can overpay the loan without penalty - there sometimes is a charge if you finish the loan early so you may not actually be saving that much.
Enjoy dinner. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Mmmmmm. Dinner was good.
Its ok George, I took out an Egg loan and they let you repay without penalty.
I* did some gardening this afternoon, well it was mostly clearing and tidying of the leaves, dirt and crap that has happened over winter. (* well Mum and I! and we didn't argue!!! its a miracle!)
We have organised Flower pots (!) and a bin for compost (you wouldnt belive how these sad things have made me happy !!!!) all the leaves have gone, I put up the green house (mini green house not an actual shed thing...)and tomorrow we are going to the nursery for plants for pots and I might even plant my seeds oooo the excitement is high in the Buffy household.
I don't have a massive interest in gardening, but its part of promise I made to Dad to look after Mum. I had been leaving the garden to my sis and her Bf, cos he is the expert, but they don't bother really apart from cutting the grass and occasional weeding. They did one bit to be fair but well they never finish anything? (I can talk I know but i do work and they dont). All the rubbish they moved (my retired Mum's help) is now just in another part of the garden? To be honest I find their whole relationship and attitude a bit weird bt hey ho! I mean Mum is miserable a nice garden would cheer her up so why not sort it?
So I have decided to behave as if they aren't doing ANYTHING which isn't hard!! Container gardening this week and in Fly lady style I am going to do 15 minutes every day at least to get it straight for the summer. I know sod all about plants mind you!
crumbs I am rambling on here. I do feel better today it was hard to get going this morning tho. Plus the debt got me down abit too. But fresh air is definately good!
tomorrow's list
1. ring driving school
2. ring new driving school
3. go to the nursery buy plants!
4. plant plants
5. marking with DVd or music
must move my self to make my bed and sort out my various piles of crap or hotspots as FLylady calls them!

Ooh, I much prefer that word, I have a lot of hotspots:D
Glad you enjoyed the garden, one of the things I am really looking forward to is having my own garden when I finally get my own house, not a large one, just somewhere to sit and relax.
Re the debts, I would say definitely clear more of the loan if you can as that is the one which is adding interest on, maybe when the interest free period ends on the card you can get what is left on the loan and the card onto another 0% deal?Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Ok, have finished the tidying.
It was a bit of a mamoth task but I didn't really find anything else to e bay or chuck. I was trying to be ruthless, I binned some foul smelling scented candles. But that was pretty much it. I even have space on my book shelves. I have reorganised my work stuff and have a lovely clear desk. And I have a place for my laptop and printer (I can actually get to my printer now too!)
Tomorrow I must go through my post and paper work.
So tomorrow is now looking like this.
1. ring driving school
2. ring new driving school
3. go to the nursery buy plants!
4. plant plants
5. Sort post and gather pile for burning (evil laugh - I have an incinerator coming!)
6. file all school paperwork.
7. Put some stuff in the loft :omy old toys.
8. marking with DVD or music or TV
9. I may have to tidy up the conservatory flylady style.
Right now i am hungry. cocoa? creme egg?
I should just go to bed. cocoa I think.
I wonder if I needed a week to come to terms with stuff at work? I do feel better, not great but better.
night all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hi Buffy
Sounds like you have had some time to get motivated again. Well done on the tidying and the proactive list.
It does sound like some time away from work has done you the world of good.
Have a great day.
