  • I do feel better, I think its mostly I didn't realise how tired I was seriously tired. My friend pointed out that I do 10 or 12 hours a day (and I know other people do this and have kids I have not a clue how they do it I really) plus I am now working in a horrible atmosphere in an unhappy place. It took a few days to realise that I was nt going to get any more !!!!!! memos or summons from the !!!!!!s. well not until I get back.

Then last night I bumped in to a former student, who thanked me and told me how good I was it was so weird. my friend was there - she worked with me too and simply couldn't believe it when I explained what was going on, so that helped too.

I won't be beaten. It might feel like it some times but I won't be. so long as I answer all their petty questions and can produce paperwork. Then I can leave with a clean slate.

I had a good time last night it was very nice to see my friends and met some new people. it was good to blow the cobwebs out.

    Re-debt

I think I might have to add another week to my challenge, cos I may have to use June's wages to finish off the cc debt.

I managed 5 pound a day in jan and feb, that went on the other CC - vets and birthdays. I didn't manage it in March at all, and I havent started April's yet either. That is down to work pressure.

I have nearly managed all my nsd challenges, I am most pleased with that no wasting of money, planned most spends. And I have had money left at the end of the month.

I have kept to the 4000 in a year challenge, although I don't do it properly exactly I have my spending money 300 pounds a month. I haven't made a 1000 in a 100 days but I m going for it this next hundred days.

I don't know what to give up for next hundred days - done magazines, done toiletries could do online shopping but have a lot of birthdays.

I wonder if I could give spending on the other cc? I pay in full each month but could I manage on cash only????

hmmmm. I still feel quite down but the quicker I get out of debt the better

    Hey Buffy
I agree with SG - what a lovely post. It must be so rewarding to have a former student say what a great teacher they thought you were - it's the students that matter - not the management hacks who sell their souls in order to 'run' a school. You're the one who makes a difference.

Hope you continue to get some R and R for the rest of the break - it's clearly having some healing properties.

    Sending lots of good vibes

    urg x x

p.s. saw your foray into matched betting - you're a braver woman than me! Good luck!

  • I am trying. I know eventually all this will be worth it, no debt, then change my job and maybe move out or at least feel more like I have a choice.

I went out to do a bit of gardening and the garden is SUCH a MESS. I dont hate my sister and her BF but they are so freaking useless. they cut the grass but they don't cut my bit (!!??!!) - honestly it would take hours to explain that but lets just leave at they are incrediably petty and Mum NEVER EVER wants to upset EVER cos they are So Special and Lovely.

pair of them are in my opinion a waste of space. but hey ho. I think I shall spend the after noon re reading dear old fly lady and that getting things done book by David Allen.

I just must remember I cannot rely on them to do anything and My Mum will not change now.

Actually I wish I could read them this afternoon but as they are coming round they will only take the !!!!. nope its no good a little bit of me does hate them and wishes they weren't coming round.

familes can't live with them and can't shoot em.

I have just bought the David Allen book, a colleague recommended it. Haven't read it yet - does it help?

  • its not a bad book SG but its bloody complicated!

I have been thinking - NEVER good.

    today I

    cleared my e mail
    decluttered a drawer
    washed my duvet
put together a mini green house
sorted out shoes to e bay (six pairs)
    had lunch
    cleared my desk
    Done more sums

Still got loads kind feel like being out side tho.

I am also amending my challenge,

I currently owe 2174 on my cc which is 0% till oct.

Now it is occurred to me after reading some thing in someone else's diary, I wondered if I would be better overpaying the loan instead.

    New Sums

Pay the CC 434 pounds from May

pay loan, normal payment of £448

    plus 438 extra.

Now my whole big problem is that cos I have been depressed about work I have been over spending (more self help books) I forgot about Avon and Next (flowers for Mum) and the vets(they were being nice not sending the bill)

My extra payments have been swallowed up by these spends plus paying car stuff, Mum's birthday(didnt plan) work stuff (panic spends)

so I am not going to mange to clear my cc debt but I 'll aim to have it down to a 1000 by my the 21st of June.

Must go now meant be only on here for 15 minutes at a time !!!
