    Oh Buffy

I never know what to say and I worry that I might say the wrong thing, but as somebody said maybe you should see your doctor? It doesn't seem right that you are feeling so down :A

I have been to the docs, she suggested I quit my job which I will do once I have cleared my name - by Christmas.

I just think some days are worse then others? and i did think that the holiday would be a cure all. I am 50/50 on everything and think I need to make a decision and stick to it.

and you don't ever say the wrong thingxxxxxxx

It doesn't feel like I will today. I don't mean I am about to top myself or anything! I just can't. I don't succeed at anything, I tried filling my life up with loads of stuff to do and all of it screwed up. OU, job, money, Avon,

so then I stopped a few things, didn't replace my pets, no OU, limited Avon. I tried at work but I am always tired. Stuck in a routine with Mum (who is great and I think feels similarly to me after a chat we had today) but I don't seem able to change anything. I thought being on holiday would mean I could relax but I feel wrecked, my heads killing me I am exhausted and I lie awake every night worrying.

I feel as though I need to cry till I can't cry anymore but I equally I feel that I haven't the energy. I could go to bed right now. but then I only wake up feeling tired and miserable. arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

I honestly was just hanging on for the holidays I thought I would feel better and I am so suprised I don't! Sorry if this sounds silly. I feel I am a big bag of self pity today. I just sick of having to fight for everything.

    Buffy

You have been through so many ups and downs recently. Work, love life, money. You're a fighter - you look for a solution and get on with things.

You have achieved so much but you can't see it because you set such high standards (and reasonably so).

My advice is to let go - cry, scream, kick, shout, paint, write, hug, walk. Use this holiday to escape - forget about all the things that have been haunting you until the end of the holiday then go back and work out what's important. You know what you need to do for you - listen to yourself. Do what you need to to get out of that job.

    I am thinking of you.

Buffy, you've been dragged through the mud and after 2 days can't expect to be smelling the roses. There is so much going on in your life right now and all the tension of keeping it together for the last few months is coming out now that you don't need to keep it together. Not exactly a relaxing holiday, but think of it as the equivalent of purging the toxins from your body, only for your mind.

You have a right to get angry and vent. You have good cause to do so. Just don't put any more pressure or tagets on yourself in the meantime. You've already accomplished so much and were almost out of that horrible place. The only reason you are still there is something that is beyond your control so don't beat yourself up about it.

Concentrate on what you can change and influence and the rest you can try to plan for - just don't tackle everything at once. Right now the priority is to recover some of your strength and faculties - you are the most important thing and need to take care of yourself. After that, you can work on getting your name cleared and a new job.

If you feel you are losing place of where you think you should be going with things, write down what you want to achieve then you can focus on the best way to get there. Right now though the only priority you have is you. Nothing else for the next few days.

After that you can collect yourself and prepare to go back into the "abyss of despair" (I wonder how many of your students call it that).

  • Hi Buffy

Lots of hugs first. Pretty much ditto to what the others have said. When I was stressed/depressed earlier this year it took a lot to get over it. I would take 2-3 days and do nothing except what you want to. For me I spent almost two weeks in bed before I could start doing stuff again. Take it slowly and see the docs.

You can and will get over it it just takes time.
