  • Congrats on doing things to make you fell good:j

Nothing better - I bought 2 tops yesterday - one for work £6 and one for summer home/best/anything that comes up £10 from asda - very bright and summery. Just wish it was warm enough to wear it

You have really got me thinking about my diary that I started but havent used for 1 month - I'm off to update it now, you have reminded me that it is good to look back and see how far we come.

    I haven't written for a while.

I can't make any payments till my new cash card comes (I used a dodgy cash machine whilst out on Friday so had to cancel my card)

I am pretty miserable got a big day at work tomorrow and am feeling ill - its a cold earache type thing but it just makes me feel really vunerable. I know that sounds silly but it does.

I just have to remind myself that my boss is stupid power hungry !!!!!! who needs taking down a peg or six.

I can't do that this year, but next year! He really had better watch himself.

And the first step is tomorrow. Just wish I could hear properly and didn't have such a dreadful headache.

Seen the news this morning. I hate MPs. I am going to make this random generalisation because too many people I know are struggling and that makes me so too mad to put together a coherent argument.

I also weighed myself which was horribly depressing. I looked at my diet on that website..........food focus and its not so bad - I mean yes there is far too much fat and not enough vegetables :o but there is a definite lack of exercise....

so with that in mind last night I ordered a gym ball (good for back pain apparently) an exercise book and ironically a Thrift book(!)

I am going to do my walking vid and eat more vegetables. that is my aim for this week.

must lay down now head is killing me

    see you all later

  • I am back. I love Lucozade!

I read my diary this morning and to be honest the 18 week plan hasn't really worked:o
My challenge finishes on the 8th of June and by then I want

    1. to have no credit card debt.
    2. to have lost 32 pounds
    3. to be a size 12/14
    4. to be fit enough to run the race for life

I have paid my money off my CC that is true.

I have n't lost weight etc

I admit things at work went spectacularly WRONG and I have been eating loads to deal with it all! cos obviously that works.

But I don't think 18 weeks "long term" plans work for me.

The thing I have had the most success with are the 100 days challenges. I do have blips but generally they work for me. And the NSD they work too (although on both counts I had a shopping blip last night so must update)

I think when this is finished I will try for short term weekly goals - like go seven days without eating after eight or do five days of consecutive exercise. I don't know I am kinda just thinking out loud here. and do it on a week to week basis. X amount off the debt. file post for one week. do ten minutes of marking in the morning. that sort of thing.

I'd best get on now. Wish I felt better today!

    xxxxxxxx

  • Shorter targets sound good Buffy although you have paid off debt so not a total failure and its not June yet.

Hope you are feeling better by tomorrow can you take today easy and rest for tomorrow? I bet itll go better than you fear.

    HI Buffy

Setting small steps is a good plan - as your signature says - it's the small steps that make the difference. I am trying to build more exercise into my day - I walk from the office to the station - about 20 mins. I take the long way back from the refectory at work. It all helps. A short escape at lunchtime may even help you manage the day.

The same thing with the financial goals - set yourself realistic goals and anything that you achieve above that is a real bonus. I know that you want to get rid of this debt asap so you are really pushing it, but within this, set some very realistic goals and then challenge yourself to exceed them.

You have come such a long way - you have taken lots of steps. They mark miles - soon will come the end of the marathon.

Good luck for your meeting tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you - drop in and let us know how it goes.

Buffy I just wanted to tell you how delighted I am that todays observation went so well for you:kisses3:

...................I always knew you were a good teacher;)

Now make sure you get plenty of sleep to get yourself over that stinking cold you have.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
