just got my other dispatch email from which was placed on the 27th of jan. So looks like it will be here tomorrow, dependent on weather that is. Looking forward to the soup, flapjacks and yogart bars. Fingers x
  • We've just received an email saying our package from the 16th has been dispatched today. We've also received a refund for the postage as per Dan's forum posting on the old thread which was greatly appreciated! Now I just can't wait to get the delivery!

  • yes, ive just had a dispatch email - its at sheffield service centre. Not sure how long it will take.

Or which of my two orders it is, but hay ho - things seem to be moving on the Af front. There is light at the end of the tunnel - so they must be getting through the back log - as this is an old order. So hang tight people.
  • I thought it would be helpful for others to be able to easily find and see the last message (from the 'old' thread, now 'closed') as posted by Dan, which is as follows....

    "Crisis Measures

I take all the points that have been made and fully appreciate the efforts of all those who are trying to help with constructive suggestions.

Firstly I must explain why some people have “jumped the queue”: because of the pressure of numbers and the insecure nature of our supplies, we found ourselves in the position of having to contact the majority of our customers about replacements. Obviously the night shift could not phone customers, so the only way to keep them occupied was to employ them completing orders that had come in recently and for which we had the products in stock.

However, the current situation is that we have a huge, and ever-increasing number, of boxes partly filled and contacting all of these customers by phone is making the situation even worse.

This clearly requires drastic measures and what I propose to do is this:

Any order already placed before January 31st that leaves our building more than 12 days after it was placed will receive a discount of £5.25 (the postal charge for the vast majority of you).

By doing this our three shifts will be able to work swiftly through the backlog. Of course any missing items will be refunded as normal.

The fact that all items at the moment appear as “temporarily unavailable” is not because we don’t have the stock, but it was the only way I could put a stop to people making orders this weekend. Normal service will resumed as soon as possible, hopefully during this coming week.

I can assure you that, as from now, orders will be dealt with strictly in the order they were placed. Also I will update you via this thread as to where we are up to with the orders on a daily basis.

If anyone is unhappy with the arrangements, they only need to call either of the numbers on our website in order to cancel their order and receive a full refund.

As I’m sure you’ll all appreciate, I’m determined to resolve the present problems and re-establish the level of service we were able to provide before the media explosion.

Finally I must apologise for any inconvenience caused by our inability to cope with the increased demand and once again thank you for your support and encouragement.

    Cheers,

    Dan"

hopefully dan will be up to speed this week, as looking forward to putting in another order for my parents who are after soup, for me its salad cream, although it says its out of stock, and yet more soup, any bakin boys coming online soon ? Fingers x you get it sorted dan.
  • ive a couple of questions for anyone who has visited the warehouse, i dont really want to bother dan as he is so busy so thought i would ask on here.

    1. do you have to place the order online first, or can you just go and have a look round and get what you want when you are there? i will probably order online first anyway but do they tell you if they have any new stock that isnt online yet and let you buy it?

    2. are children allowed in the warehouse? my son is 3 and will either just hold my hand or sit in his buggy, he definately wont be running around!
  • put my second order in and i see when you order it now says how many are in stock, i take it everything will be in stock that i ordered then? I placed an order about 19th january and recieved it about 2nd of febuary which i was pretty pleased with as i heard there were so many delays etc. Everything was well packed and brilliant i cannot complain, even things that said were out of stock were there!! Love to all and hope you all have happy shopping x
  • I missed my delivery today, they didn't leave it with a neighbour like last time (they were in) and now I just need to decide whether to collect or have it redelivered and take a chance they won't leave it with a neighbour again! Oh descisions descisions!

There are 2 boxes waiting for me at home, it's like christmas all over again! I just need an excuse to get out of work early to get home to my goodies!
  • This was on the old thread but reposting to help new customers understand DHL tracking messages:

'Shipment Data Received.' Is a generic scan that appears when Approved Foods have created the label and booked the courier to collect parcels.

'Departed Depot.' As Approved Foods are based in the Sheffield the nearest DHL Service Centre will collect the parcels from them. This scan refers to the parcels leaving the DHL Service Centre. After leaving the Service Centre all parcels have to pass thought either 1 or 2 Terminals. (Hatfield, Hamshall, Bristol.)

'In Transit.' Refers to the movement of the parcel inside the Terminal through conveyer belts, scanners, weighing machines and security checks. This can also be a scan in a Service Centre too.
