Where is Progress? Apparently my order (placed 3 weeks ago) is there, but I haven't had an email from DHL to say it's been shipped..

We had an e-mail from DHL last Wednesday (ordered and paid on the 16th Jan.) saying it was dispatched, but it didn't move anywhere for 2 days on tracking so my husband 'phoned to see if there was a problem, we thought maybe they had run out of some things and we were happy to take more of what we had ordered. It seems that the parcel has no paperwork and is lost somewhere. We were told a new parcel would be made up last Friday and we would get a 'phone call when it was done as some things were out of stock. That was 4 pm last Friday, and still no 'phone call, no dispatch e-mail.

Went to visit Dan at Approved Foods today and he was working his little socks off. He is trying to sort out the backlog of orders as fast as he can.

He is a really nice guy and I could have talked to him all day, but let him get on with packing orders and receiving the new stock. ;)
    Nice to save.

I put this up this morning on the now locked thread, it may be of help to some people - if it isn't then I seriously would consider just phoning Dan again (if the problem is at his end and not DHL's) and just trying gently to resolve the issues:-

"Don't know whether Dan will want to smack me in the mouth for this, but anyway:

I spoke to him again this morning simply because I had been given a refund but didn't know for what items because they weren't listed. I just wanted to put in options if possible. It wasn't for a great amount, just over 6 quid.

Now, I think he's had a few problems monitoring the night-crew and also with them not putting what customers have been refunded for, which is where the problems have arisen on the refund tickets.
Also bear in mind that he is giving some customers refunds for postage (which must have chewed up and spat out his profits) as a sign of continued goodwill and service, and it may be that some of you have had postage refunds and aren't losing out on many products because as he said earlier he has marked them as 'out of stock' on the site simply to slow up orders and let him catch up.
But if you are worried and do have some alternatives in mind it might be worthwhile just letting him know.

In summary, just because it says 'out of stock' on the site, doesn't necessarily mean they aren't in your order, and your refund may, to a large extent, be due to postage refunds."
  • Got my parcel today:

the lemon torte thing wasnt quite what I expected but I think thats my fault (was expecting more of a mousse type thing), quite nice.
Full of beans raisins and nuts all look fine - have yet to try.
Milk chocolate brazils came in a nice sealed box
    Jammy ring biscuits (yay!)
I got two trays of soup so I was glad this hadn't sold out.
Lemon and ginger sauce will be tried with some chicken tomorrow.

Still not heard anything about my order from the 22nd Jan so assuming that most of those items are out of stock. There was very little out of stock this time though and everything was extremely well packed.

Didn't get - caramel digestives (my fave so a bit disappointed), red liqourice (sp?), only 1 out of 6 lemon torte things,
  • I missed my delivery today, they didn't leave it with a neighbour like last time (they were in) and now I just need to decide whether to collect or have it redelivered and take a chance they won't leave it with a neighbour again! Oh descisions descisions!
