I am an accounts administrator for a construction company, things are eerily quiet. However, hubby is a self-employed commercial body repairer and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the working day for him. It seems like instead of companies buying new vehicles they are 'making do and mend' at the moment.
Start looking for new Accounts work urgently.
  • I'm a programmer for a games company. Until recently it's what I've always wanted to do.

Transport Manager for a nationwide food distribution company. margins suffering due to the downturn in the pub trade but on the upside, most of the other sectors still quite strong so hanging in there for the big recovery.......eventually!
  • I am a midwife, and despite a national shortage of us, and a real shortage in my area they are not refilling posts and have talked of job cuts in the near future.
The job cuts is a new thing as we won our appeal for the new grading system, which means we are owed 5 years back pay, so they are now threatening our jobs as they say they cannot afford to pay us!

SAP consultant & project manager currently working for a multinational consultancy & professional services organization.

I'm PMP certified (similar to Prince2 but US-centric) and specialize in FMCG (consumer goods) and financial services.

I sort of fell into this though... I... I wanted to be...

NHS agenda for change was all sorted back out in 2007/2008? Are people still waiting for backpay now?

Local authority job evaluation isn't sorted out either. I won my appeal in December 2007 and it is still with JE for consideration. My pay was frozen in 2006 so they owe me a lot so are trying to get out of it, or hoping we'll all give up and leave.

I'm the LRC Manager in a secondary school , ie school librarian.
