10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Used to be a new build sales negotiator. Good pay but frankly glad to be out of it.

I now work part time as a relief scheme manager at a sheltered living complex for the over 55's. I absolutely love it. My residents are lovely and it is so nice to be in a job where I am actually appreciated and where people say thank you to me.

I am also my husband's carer (unpaid because I am still waiting to go to a tribunal to increase my husband's DLA, but that's another story).

I have also taken in a lodger to make ends meet, so I guess that makes me a landlady. I am a trained beauty therapist and I am about to turn one of our spare bedrooms into a treatment room/salon.

I do a few car boots, ebay, etc and have started making jewellery which I hope to be able to sell at craft fairs etc. All the time being generally old style and as thrifty as possible, cooking sewing, revamping old furniture. etc I am thinking of doing an upholstery course so perhaps this could be another sideline business.

So I suppose like many of us on this site I am a bit of a "Jack of All Trades"/Entrepeneur - anything to keep afloat really.

Employment wise, what do we all do?

I'm getting used to a lot of usernames now and getting to know their personalities, (Dopester yes you are mad ;) )

But not sure on what everyone does for a living...

I'm a licensed Aircraft engineer who primarily works on offshore helicopters, along with the day to day of keeping the choppers flying all day long, i specialise with the Aircraft vibration levels, along with the CVFDR (The blackbox data)

None have ploughed into the North sea (yet) so i still have a job. To keep in line with the relevance of this section, there have been no redundancies so far.

So what do you do? Property developer, nutty scientist, white van man...Fire away...

Oh there's no snow up here in the very cold north;)

    Mitchaa

I see a Bristows chopper had an emergency landing at Aberdeen airport today.

More power to your elbow. Keep my son (and all the other offshore workers) safe! :)

I'm a support worker for adults with learning difficulties. I have to keep turning down extra shifts. Loads of work here if you can manage.

I'm a PhD student. And before I get the usual hatred, I'm not the stereotypical type - it's not an easy subject (maths), I have plenty of savings, don't play loud music at 3am, go to bed early and am far from lazy :D

Edit: also a long-time lurker of MSE forums.
