So today I have- checked my banking and had last tenner thru that i'm owed for work pressies
- updated my sheet for payments gone out today
- paid #610 off loans (first working day of month), still chipping away!!
- made packed lunch from my homemade egg mayo!
:D
Have a good day all0 -
Hello everyone! Snow here but still managed to get to work ok. Thinking I won't go out tonight though as it's meant to be very icy.
Today:
Checked online banking - no movement
Checked Ebay - still waiting for one payment but will have made over £100 on 6 records (Oasis, Stone Roses, a couple of other rare 90s indie things) so that will go straight to my loan when it appears in my bank. Must make sure I leave enough in Paypal to cover the fees though, I always get caught out with that.
Checked O2 - retention bonus is now showing so phoned and asked for a cheque refund. Only £130 though, not £150 cause of VAT - cheats. Still, better than nothing.
Send off Ebay parcels using Paypal funds. Also send off Bookmooch books, hopefully using unfranked stamps found when recycling.
Revised virtual pot target to £700 in light of Ebay and O2 bonus.
Brought in HM salad for lunch and HM pasta for tea in case I do go out tonight. If not will leave in work fridge for tomorrow's lunch. Also brought in HM flapjack, fruit and little pot of nuts (inspired by Graze!)
Checked Quidco - 45p payment sent. Ha. Ah well, it all counts!
Scratchies - 10p and 50p
I think that's everything. Have good days everyone, and stay warm and safe!0 -
Morning All :hello: :snow_laug :snow_laug :snow_laug :snow_grin :snow_grin :snow_grin
Lots of snow here - I've sent a piccie to Popeye, he's sweltering in the African sun :rotfl: :rotfl: But I'm joining him next weekend :happylove
I did get into work, though my usual 5 minute journey took 40 mins  (25 mins clearing the snow from the car :rotfl: )
Today the carpet is due to be fitted, I wonder if they'll cancel?
So today I have/will:- making a loaf in the BM (shan't have lunch if I don't pop home to let the carpet fitter in as I had no bread
) - scratch'n'click
- charging phone at work
- menu planned supper
- should be a NSD, unless I need to buy something for lunch......

Morning all :hello: :hello:
A little bit of snow here today - just thinking about it is worth going in to work, or if it would be more sensible to work here at home. There are things I can get on with here on the computer, and I work at the top of a really long, steep hill
So far I have:
Checked online banking. All as expected - well better really, as I got £408 expenses paid from work unexpectedly early.
Moved interest on current account to savings (only £1.13, but hey, it all helps).
Arranged with Envirophone to recycle old phone via Quidco. It is broken, so I don't think it is worth anything (I don't expect them to pay me anything for it), but hopefully Quidco will still pay out - and even if they don't, it won't cost me anything, and is better for the environment than just throwing it away.
Done monthly overpayment on mortgage.
Seen to chooks, who don't like the snow much! Gave them some bread (their favourite treat) to cheer them up, plus some warm water in their drinker.
Had porridge and an elderly banana for breakfast.
Later I will:
Have leftovers from yesterday for supper.
Clean range cooker ready for engineer tomorrow as I didn't get around to it yesterday.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Happy Snow Day All :snow_grin and if you haven't got it then
Andan and Fayjmck - thanks for your feedback on the OU. I will have a better look and see if there is any way I can get it paid. I would ask work if they would consider sponsoring me but it's not a good time here and looking for a new job anyway. I have pretty much decided what I want to do so just need to see if I can transfer my credits from my HND.
Todays things:
Check online banking - interest of £2.77 in ISA today
Transfer money from CEX to ISA
Free scratchies - 10p
Competitons
Check for mystery shops
Complete mystery shop sign on's
Buy boyfriend other birthday present through cashback site
Iron tonight
Look into OU courses and finance to finish my degree and find HND stuff to apply for transfer credits
Should be an NSD :j
Sorting out my Nectar card password. Just looking on my account and I have 3280 points! Don't know where they all came from so having a look
Found a savings account statement that I was using last year and has £8.39 in there which is interest from when I was saving. As it will cost me in petrol and parking to go get it out and put it in my ISA (I have to go to the branch to get it out) I will start off my moving out fund instead :j )
Drive safely those who are driving and happy snowball fighting to anyone who is today :j0 -
I just had to share these cause they're so cute - not DFW in the slightest but they might entertain us for a while!

AWWWW!0 -
Awww they are so cute0

I am feeling very sorry for myself now!! I have been snowed in but i didn't realise i was snowed in and i tried to drive my car and got stuck up the hill and was sliding around all over and didn't know what to do:( I only passed my test in Aug so am new to this all and didn't have my fella here to help me!
In the end i had to ask two lovely gentleman to help me push my car over to the side of the road.
Was meant to be going to college today but that was cancelled, i found out afterwards!! Work said not to worry take it off as i have done so much work already and depending on the snow i will or will not be back at work tomorrrow.
My car is now stuck on the hill all alone and very cross with me!!:o:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j
