Monday 2/2/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move money to savings
  • storecupboard lunch and tea-
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • ironing for me
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
  • sparkle -cow socks today
  • clean one room tonight so not much to do next weekend
  • try and find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • aim for no spend day
Good morning fellow dfw's, back to work again today:rolleyes: , lots of lovely snow here this morning:D although this will mean I have to take DD to college as too slippy for her scooter.Quiet day ahead planned in office, then just chilling after work:D
Hope you all have a great day doing fun stuff as well as dfw stuff;) . Hugs to anyone feeling down or poorly-HShugs2.gif hope you feel better soon.
Hi to all the regular posters:hello: :hello: :hello: and welcome to any new posters:wave:  .

  • Woke up this morning 6am , looked out of the window and everything is covered in thick snow and its not stopped snowing since.

Does'nt snow look lovely when its been untouched, it seems to make everything more peaceful and quite.

I am looking forward to the little kiddies later on today after school playing on the front having snow ball fights they love the snow and its wonderful watching them having so much fun.

Hope everyones ok today - take care if you have got to go out.

    :T

Sorry forgot to add what I am upto today

Going to make a savings box out of an old cardboard shoe box and start putting money away for my nieces/nephews for christmas
Finish some course work from the OU
Phone up the housing -I have somehow overpaid on the rent - last October the benefits started to cover my rent so now each month the statement shows a credit so I am gonna ask them for it back its only £49 but it will cover a weeks food shopping xx
Sort out storage room in kitchen - seem to do this nearly every week - and everyweek it ends up in a mess.
Tidy out cupboards under kitchen sink - see if I need any cleaning bits n bobs and make a list.
May not bother getting dressed until later as I am all warm and toasty at mo in my pj's and robe.

    xx
