kazm - what have you done with all the stuff you found under the stairs?

Anything that was OH's HAS to be kept so banished to the attic, most of the rest is sorted for recyling and the bin.

Big hugs to GnB and your little one

Valli - money burns a hole in DD's pocket and she's only 9. She spent £17 in Lush on saturday  and as for DS he used to be really careful but now he's getting EMA he's blowing a bit more. If he carries on the way he has been the last month ordering stuff online etc he'll get a shock when the payments start to fail and he gets charges - and yes he has had a copy of Martins Teen Cash guide thingy!

toots - no party just a big order from approved foods who sell stuff at stupid prices as its past its best before date

Right I really am off to do the lunches now

See you all at some point tomorrow
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Off to clean teeth and listen to the sleep CD/mice in the cavity wall again... see you all in the morning!

Carol - great idea on the essay... spelling and grammar would have to be perfect too ;)
  • (((HUGS))) GandB the worst thing is to see your LOs suffering. I remember wishing I could wrap DS in a bubble before his ops and feeling anxious every time some one so much as sneezed near us.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

    Tough love coming up...
Looks like there are going to be an awful lot of cars cleaned in my locality then...

I have a better idea - I will just say NO

cos what he WANTS and what he NEEDS are two entirely different things...
thanks for letting me vent though - and backing me up. It's hard when you're the only adult. I cannot understand why you would give kids anything they asked for even if you could...but he still hasn't learned the value of stuff.

When he lost memory stick 1 I bought him a replacement which I said I would not do again - so he told his dad he needed one and dad bought him one (because, of course, he never talks to me so never knows what's going on) I phoned ex and told him it was DSs THIRD
(and that was the one that he left on a pocket so went through the WM and I patiently, gently dried out)
I have 5. One I don't use as its case got damaged, three from work and a freebie from the union. I am about to get an encrypted one for work, too. He has asked to used one of mine and I have said no.
So next time he needs one he will have to pay out as ex now knows the situation...

Ooh a sudden thought - I have an 'Orange' phone I am not using at the moment. Must go and hide it before 'Careless Hands' remembers it...
(One my Mum bought 'by accident') he is NOT having that either - though I doubt he would want it - not trendy:rolleyes:

(ooh that word shows my age) sorry - not 'sick' :rotfl:

You do make me laugh Valli - how on earth did she buy it by accident??

Greenbee - With suitable diagrams as well I think.

Another WM question (sorry!!) - how do I wash the drawer thingy? With it being a rented flat, the WM didn't come with an instruction book. I had a look and it seemed to need a screwdriver (!) to take the drawer out but I seem to remember that some of you do that? Ahh why did my mother not tell me any of this?

:rotfl: schools round here must be definately living dangerously allowing and supervising children playing in the snow then :rotfl: as everyone else seems so against it, maybe it's just a northern thing? No schools off here either so far for tomorrow, if DS1s taxi refuses to get him again I'll take him. His is also a special school but I haven't known it to close to pupils yet, it's transport that effects it and by the time we knew they weren't coming he'd have been too late for his trip which is a shame.

What I really popped in to say was I hope your LO is better soon g&b poor little girl isn't getting much of a break from illness lately, give her a big soft squishy hug from me x

Right, said I'd be in bed by midnight tonight so off now, night all xx
One day I might be more organised...........

I never got to the bottom of the mystery phone purchase.

This from a woman, who meeting her eldest grandson's girlfriend for the first time asked
'Do you eat things or are you vegetarian?'

I think she wanted a phone on a different network? But I never really got to the bottom of it!

G&B hope your littley is better soon.

(Much as I moan about DS I do love him ... but he drives me nuts! I used to say, when he was little, we had misnamed him. He should've been called Egon. As in Where's Egon? he used to say the funniest things (non stop actually) when he was a toggly - he knew he was a toggly because he went to toggly group :rotfl:)

BTW Has Pigpen revealed her cunning plan?

Flying (well helping Carol) drawers do usually come out fairly easily - it's the filters that might need a screwdriver. Double check your instructions. I wash mine in the sink with an old toothbrsh to get into the crevices. Those with dishwashers stick them in there. For the days my WM is not in use I usually keep both the drawer and the door ajar to allow the machine to dry out a bit and stop it smelling awful..HTH

  • The first time my boyf's mum saw me, she looked at him, looked at me, looked at him again, said 'Be careful', and walked off. I suppose we were 15 and on holiday, but really, not tactful. She has since taken to telling me I look ill/ tired every time I don't have make-up on.

The cunning plan is being kept under wraps i think... I shall have to find out in the morning as my eyes are drooping...

    Night all
    xxx

I don't have the instructions Valli, hats part of the problem!! Lol. I shall have a fiddle with the drawer in the morning. Thankyou!!
