    Good morning all

Looks like another home day for me (apart from collecting the puppy!) Still got work I can be doing though. We've got plenty of snow but not as much as some areas. Hope everyone has what they need to get through till it clears. DD has gone off to work so I hope her car share blokey drives safely. She fell on the way to her meeting point, so was damp and feeling sorry for herself. Claire Nazir (GMTV) has just said there's more snow coming!

I remember in December '81 (or possibly '80), I was living in Hampstead and Mum came to stay for a few days and Christmas shopping. We went out in the car and I packed a shovel in the boot. She wondered what I was playing at, but halfway down Hampstead Hill she found out. I pulled over and piled in with 2 or 3 other people to dig out a car that had got stuck. We were all doing things like that. They've just been talking about the Dunkirk Spirit, and I suppose that was it.

Pink numbers - judging by your signature, you are well ahead of yourself on your challenge! :rotfl:

    - I used to have a "Rise and Fall" curtain pole which might be the answer for you. I gave it to a friend as it was unsuitable for here (gave them a curtain as well, which, with hindsight, was a bit daft!:o)

Oh well, off to do some flying before I start work.

All dailies are done, so I think I'll vacuum the lounge etc.

    Hugs to anyone in need.

    Pink!

    Morning all

G&B and everyone else who is poorly or has poorly loved ones - big hugs.

Pigpen - congrats on baby Jacob Paul! sounds like it was a quick birth then...

We have big snow here! Quite blizzard like at the moment. I have wimped out of the journey to work. Phoned a colleague to let her know - she said she didn't blame me. She lives half a mile from the site and said the little lane that leads to it is treacherous and a couple of nearby major roads are closed.

DS has had a message from school - that's closed so we're having a snow day!

I shall take it fairly easy today and just potter though - I ache big time from all that physical work over the last few days. I'll concentrate on the living room as that is in a bit of a bad way having had all the kitchen stuff stored in there for a couple of days.

maybe mention that you think you've got chickenpox in your house?!? that might make the other parents reconsider :D

no chance.. she is with a foster carer so spoiled her carpet instead of mine!

GF had a second degree tear so had to be taken in to be stitched up.. I did not think anything improper about it.. they are keeping her in today at least.. just waiting to see if DS1 wants me to go visit later..
