I keep meaning to do something about a door curtain, but I have a very narrow hall. Only the same width as the door and frame - so nowhere for the curtain to go when the door is open IYSWIM.

You need one of these http://www.justpoles.com/Portiere_&_Drapery_arms/c-1-146/ so that the curtain stays on the back of the door.

What width is your door? I may have a spare curtain in a few weeks!

Pigpen - congratulations on the new baby. I assume she has to take him back to the highly responsible foster carer's house?

soappie - best place to get epsom salts is the garden centre (£4 for a big box) rather than the chemist (£5 for a tiny pot). If DS is feeling brave, send him out for a walk to see whether he can get any if you have either a chemist or garden centre within walking distance. I stocked up in Wyevale last weekend, as homebase haven't had any for ages.

Well done mOZzy... fingers & toes are crossed for your second viewing!

Off to find some breakfast...

woohoo1.gif I got my snow day! Had been stuck in traffic for 30 minutes when I took the illegal call on my mobile to say that the school I was heading to was closed. Good job though cos the A27 was closed in both directions for quite a long stretch so it would've meant driving on ungritted B roads. Trouble is, most of the snow in my garden has melted, so can't build a snowman. :( Still, cat and I had fun playing a game of running back and forth through the patio door every time I went to close it again! lol He's really hyper cos he doesn't like snow so he's like children when they've been cooped up all day. :)

Congratulations on the new baby pigpen.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

here's my list, have added today's stuff to what I failed to do yesterday.

DH has just arrived having been defeated by the chaos that is the trains. No response yet to the text to my boss to say I can't get in - doubt she'll go in either now! I do plan on working today though, but can only do as much as I can do from home. Main issue for me is going to be deciding whether to cancel tomorrow morning's walk, it's a 9am start which means a very early start for me, esp with the travel and if it's likely to be slippy we just can't risk it...esp as they will all be wearing sandals!!

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining room
Level One
Clear and wipe work surfaces
Empty and wash out bins
Level Two
Clear out the fridge and make note of what needs using sharpish
Sweep and mop floors
Level Three
Wash windows
Wipe and replace all the small appliances
Extras
1. Wipe all the cupboard fronts, kickboards and large appliance
2. S&S the oven and hob
3. S&S the window sills
4. Binbag dance! 60 in 60?
5. sort out the nightmare cupboard with plastic tubs in!

hoover corridor, landing, kitchen,
fold clean laundry
put clean laundry away
30 mins wiifit (did do this but it's staying on my list this week!)
sort charity shop bags into manageable number

Grrr, trying to add in today's list but comp won't copy and paste again

pigpen - congrats, if that's the appropriate thing to say...glad all went ok
soappie - enjoy a more chilled day!

Pigpen congratulations to all

I was going to Eastbourne to visit a customer, just rung them to say I wasn't coming to be told, that's ok we are closed any way!, I would have been mighty mad if I had set off at silly oclock, arrived and no one was there!!

Blitzed the kitchen before coming to work, floor, sides, fridge, microwave glass tray, hoovered the hall.

Still wondering how kazm can get all that stuff in her cupboard under the stairs.

Hugs for those that need them

Greenbee - the garden centres are all out of town. There's a chemist about half a mile away but I'd not send even the dog out there at the moment.

The bin men haven't been....

The is the view from my back garden about 5 minutes ago - Rach will recognise it and how unusual it is to have that much snow here! The black cloud has just started to dump yet more snow...

But, off to the kitchen - I fancy a fry up for breakfast and may make some soup for lunch
