Really pi**ed off. My vacuum isn't picking up. OH has been using it in the kitchen for all the wood splinters and despite clearing it all out yesterday , he seems to have completely 'mucked' it up.

  • Afternoon All - lousy whether here, had to WALK to work - I DO NOT DO EXERCISE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!! I have a very steep hill to get to work, people must of heard me breathing 5 miles away!!

On a good note, there's stew in the slow cooker, been on since 7 this morning so should be yummy by the time I get home tonight. S/S the kitchen, started DW, made bed and had a shower.

Very pathetic work really, but took ages to prepare veg etc for stew.

Sat at work looking at the snow- we are an estate agent for goodness sake - who wants to be looking at houses on a day like this, can we close, can we heck!! Been told we can go an hour early if it carries on - how kind they are!

CAZZIE - so sorry for your friend, my friend had a cot death years ago and she definately just needed us there whether we talked or not, or cried with her or not or hugged - friends mean everything at times like this

GERTIE - how horrid for you DH and you

    Well done soappie!

Meters read... electricity not too bad, but gas is unsurprisingly high! Both would be lower if I went to bed earlier..:o

Off to find some lunch & chuck some laundry in. Am also moving the dehumidifier around the house as there's no way I'm opening the windows!

I've checked the outside of the house, and the roof is covered in snow, and the north & west sides of the house are fine - apart from the drain cover (I've had a shower) snow is settling right up to the house. However, I'm a bit concerned about the south side, as snow isn't settling well on the patio, although this could be due to the drain from the bathroom going underneath it, so I'll have to check again tomorrow. Overall, it looks as if my insulation is OK! Just wish I knew what was making the racket in the roof at night!

vivw - get him to buy you a new one... the one you've always wanted... and to buy himself a cheap one at the same time.

Soappie ~ floor looks great, well done:T

Cazzie ~ Very sorry to hear about your friend and the loss of baby Chloe...someone ( think it was pigpen ) suggested you make a note of the due date and remember that with her, think that's a very good idea.

Done an hour and a half of ironing, just having a break before starting todays list and then wrapping up before trekking through the snow to get Hamish from school.

  • Can I post a picture on here of our wedding? Don't want to do anything that may be out of line!! I'm quite giddy, we got the the cd yesterday to look through and pick what we want. The only problem is I am always shocked at my photo as I think I should be better looking than I am and far less wrinkly!!!!!!
