I now just have to put everything back in there once the floor's had another wash.
I continue to have builder's hands - rough as sandpaper and all manner of evil stuff up my fingernails but they should recover in the next few days. Have just had a large bowl of rice crispies for lunch (quick and readily to hand!). I am now going to get out of these builders clothes into something more respectable, throw them into the wash and then go foraging for food. It's snowing again!
Update pictures:
From the doorway - the floor will need another wash

Really pi**ed off. My vacuum isn't picking up. OH has been using it in the kitchen for all the wood splinters and despite clearing it all out yesterday , he seems to have completely 'mucked' it up.
Hugs for you Viv, my DH broke my last Dyson cleaning up after 'building works' which invalidated the warranty. We now have a Dyson and a Henry - Henry is brilliant at sawdust, woodchippings, plaster, bits of tiles, etc. He even ate a biro without problems last night when I wasn't paying enough attention. May be worth an investment if your OH does lots of works? The £100 has certainly paid off for us.

In my HHC, I cleared and wiped all the surfaces, polished the TV, pictures and candle thingy, did a 29 fling boogie (didn't take long!) and half-filled a bag for charity. Washing is now drying around the house.
