mum26 wrote:I adore mine, especially for things that have got a bit overdry and then really creased as it takes a quick run over with my steam genorator and it's fine! I didn't think it'd be that great but I got mine as a present in the end form my mum and dad (my mum had one and knew i'd find it handy!)
I have the big base bit on a sturdy chair next to me if i iron in the living room or on the worktop if in the kitchen x
Ditto, although I am still on the look out for a decent ironing board that will take the weight of the whole thing. Got a free ironing board with the iron but it tipped cos of the weight.
Recently bought a Polti Ironing Board with built in fan for the steam, £159. Very sturdy but oh so noisy. Could not hear the television whilst I was ironing so I took it back to John Lewis and got a full refund. The guy that demonstrated it only ever demonstrated it with the fan off!!£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

It is fantastic, i could never go back to an ordinary iron. They are fab. They whizz over jeans in seconds.someones you only need to iron only one side....BRILLIANT
I did exactly the same thing, except when I got mine it was the full £230, so I spent 4 hours on the net comparing it. Eventually opened the box and loved it, even ironed all the clothes I had sorted for Charity.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Does anyone have one of these, and would you recommend the outlay. Costco have them on offer at the moment I believe and I am sorely tempted, but its a lot of money and just wanted to hear comments from those who use them. Many thanks Michelle:beer:If it seems too good to be true, it probably is, unless its from this forum!0

I have a Tefal one and I wouldn't be without it. It did cost about £130 though and that was a reduced price.
The higher the bar pressure the better the iron. I would say go for a minimum of 4 bars - that's what mine has. It has 100g/min of steam with a surge of 150g/min.
My last one had a knob which you took off to refill it with water. The rubber on it perished several times. Also, you had to turn the iron off to fill it. My new one just has a plastic bit which you open and you don't need to turn off the iron when refilling it.0 -
What make and model are you looking at?0
