Hi back again, I've trod all this route so far as detailed by you.
I had the steroid injections, after the facet joint injections under general anesthetic to pinpoint the trouble areas.
Facet joint pressurisation nailed it and I then had the steroid jabs.
"how long does the effect of the injections last?". I asked.
The answer was from 6 days to six months.
For the 1st week all my problems were gone, it was unbelievable, I felt better than I did at 20 years of age:j:j:j
But incredibly when I saw the specialist 9 days after the exploration the problem returned as before.
I understand these jabs can only be given 3 times or so, so not much mileage in that from my point of view:mad:
The best thing in this from my point of view was that I then realised what it meant to be pain free, albeit only for a short time, but it did reassure me that I was not in the grips of hypochondria.
Good luck with the treatment, I'm sure you like me would much rather an improvement in condition than one in benefits??I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
My wife and I have wondered if anyone going through the appeal process here in lancashire would think it a good idea to have a coffee morning at a starbucks or some place and be able to offer support to eachother. Yes we can all get help from places like CAB and Welfare rights but they look at it as far as the rules and regulations are and we never get to say how it is effecting us and this may be a way we could all support eachother. what do you all think?Only through Christ can we find freedom0

I wished I lived your way as I think that a meet up is a brilliant idea. As you say its only people that have been through this that knows how it is affecting you. We went to see the solicator about our appeal (were got her through the CAB) She was 40 mins late then because the bloke after us said he couldn't wait after 3pm she rushed us through (we didnt get in to see her till 2.40pm and we had a 2pm appointment). We are just waiting to see what she says now as she took copies of all the paperwork away with her. Didn't really listen to what we had to say0

Hi
Im just by Heathrow Airport (West London). Had a great letter from hubby's counselling. He is seeing a top woman at a hospital up London who also has a MBE, for specialist epilepsy counselling. She has diganoised him with sever depression relating to his epilepsy so need to forward all that onto the tribunal. Still no date but hopefully the solicator we saw on Monday can get us some more details.0 -
maybe this has been posted before always best to apply second half of the month they guard their money the first half but as 2/3rds of appeals are upheld ie accepted then youve a reasonable chance cheers sam0
