    Hello girlies!
    So what have I missed?
    Has Rmac given birth yet?
I've had a hectic weekend, OH and I took our kids to visit his aunt and uncle in Southend yesterday and didnt get home till gone 10pm.
    It was freezing!
But we had a really good day until OH's ex put a spanner in the works and banned his daughter from staying at our house
It's so sad really, he's 22 and although they havent been together since the bairn was a few months old he has always maintained contact, sees her whenever he can but most of the time it has to be through his mum, which in a way he doesnt mind cos he really cant stand her, but she just will not play ball, there is always something, everytime we have her, she always kicks up a fuss over something.
I just dont understand people who do it, she should count hwerself lucky that he and his family do so much for her, think of all the fatherless kids out there who dont see hide nor hair of their dads or other family! grrr, it really grates me partly cos I know what it;s like to have a fatherless child and theother part cos i see how much it hurts OH, yes he can be a little !!!!!! sometimes, but he loves his kids.
Oops sorry about the rant but it really gets my goat!

DS is poorly, he was sick this morning and has had the runs, we just took them out again to a local farm place but it was far too cold so i dropped them back at OH's mums and bought DS (not before spending £3 on a carrot cake, from the farm shop!)
I'm going to have to keep DS off school for at least tommorrow, but think maybe Tuesday aswell as they say for 48 hours or something, must ask the office tommorrow.

As far as the pregnancy is going, he's still here kicking the hell out of me, growing like the clappers and i'm starting to get a waddle  :rotfl:
Oooh it's snowing here quite heavily!

Oh and as far as DS having ADHD, i think it's a load of tosh, he has been so well behaved the last 4 days, and yesterday he was a dream, even when we went to Southend town, he and OH's daughter were absolutely brilliant together, and OH's Aunty absolutely idolised him, she wanted to keep him! :D
She said I should be so proud that I've got a son like him, *beams with pride*

    Ooh I'm waffling a bit aint i :D

I have a bucket you could borrow mookie... Probably has the same effect ;)

My new hoover is now assembled... Planning to go and try it in Aimee's room now it's all tidy... Unfortunately, she appreciates its tidy so much, we haven't seen her since she got back from Nanny's, she's just been upstairs playing!

Realised last night that we hadn't added my step sisters 2 children to Aimee's invite list so that's just pushed the number of children up... Going to cost us £140 just for the party! I'm a bit annoyed really that there's some children on there that I 'have' to invite for political reasons... They are children of a friend and the youngest is in the same year as Aimee but different class... I'm pretty sure they never play together.... But I have to invite them anyway... And the older sibling... Who I know for sure she never plays with... I would just invite the younger one but hubby thinks we should invite both just to be fair (which I have in previous years, but my Mum paid for one party and the other was at my house so didn't matter so much) So I suggested not inviting either... But that could upset the friend... Blummin politics!!!

    Hey Krystal,
Try not to worry about it or let it stress you out! (I know easier said than done) I was so annoyed at Joshuas birthday party last year, he only has two cousins so far and we invited them my nephew is six so thats cool but my niece is 10 and she sat moaning the whole time and saying how bored she was. So were not bothering this year and if anything gets said then we have the fact they have both had two birthday parties and josh hasnt been invited to either one! We are just inviting Joshua's school friends this time! Our friends dont have kids yet!

Oh dont get me started on the verbaudet catalogue, Elle did you say you only have the mini brochure? Wait til the big one comes! My order arrived yesterday with tons of things for Lexie and they are just sooo cute! I thought it was going to cost a fortune but wih all the couchers you get its not such a bad time at the checkout!

A question if you dont mind helping me girls? I have really painful pins and needles in my hands and lower arms and my hands have swollen up and I cant get my rings off  should I be worried or is it just pregnancy related swelling?

    Thanks

Could be symptoms of Carpal tunnel syndrome which is common in pregnancy, best get advice from NHS direct or the docs though.

  • Hello Ladies!

I can't believe how much I have missed since Friday lunchtime!! Have only skim read but think I got the gist of most of it.

Feelie - not sure what your hospital is like but they don't promote giving birth on a bed here in Wolverhampton...especially if you have SPD.

MrsT - I'm a first timer at 32 so you are a long way off being the oldest (Icklebeans and AF are def older too!). I for one am glad I am not as old as the one I am feeling - hubby is 42 :rotfl:

Music during labour - it is actively recommended at our hospital and is supposed to make the mother more relaxed - especially music with no lyrics...actually thinking about it, was the question about wearing headphones during labour

Paperwork - your tax liability is for 6 years (or it used to be :o ) so I wouldn't destroy any paperwork relating to income for at least that long. Shredding at 12 months is a complete no-no, especially if you are claiming tax credits (how will you prove what you have earned if they investigate and reassess you?)

Mel, tara and ...oh sh1te I have forgotten - big ((HUGS)) - in fact big (((HUGS))) for everyone!

Whoever mentioned guilt - yes, tons of it. I feel guilty for being to tired to go out last night, too tired to scrub the kitchen floor and too achey to sort out the mess in DSS room (it's my mess, not his!)

I am convinced baby McSmiler is here by now!! Sending love and best wishes to the McSmiler household.

    xxx

ps - it's snowing here too!!

AM: happy/sad you had a mixed weekend :D
I don't believe Aston has ADHD he sounds just like me as a kid - just gets bored at school coz lets face it it can be rather boring a lot of the time!
Glad the MA came through quickly! I hope my office is as speedy - I really need to find my wage slips that are scattered throughout a huuuge pile of papers

Yeah I think it;s just boredom, hes quite clever and maybe he's just not stimulated enough.
I am shocked it's come throuhg so quickly, was expectin to wait at least 3-4 weeks to hear anything.

Been very naughty today and bought some babygros - were dead cheap worked out at about 10p each! Also a baby bath and changing unit - I blame OH as he made me get out of bed to go shopping.

Right - no more shopping now til at least my first scan - don't want to be tempting fate.

Was trying to snow here earlier but now all toasty warm inside :D

Glamazon, where did you find those? I could do with some 10p babygros!

Sparkle, I'm with you on the cousins front... Before we can even think about friends we have my neice (8) Nephews (3, 4, 6) and my cousins (4&9) and we occaisionally get invited round to my sisters for some curled up sarnies... and my youngest cousin had a party before christmas that we went to... But we never get invited to the older ones parties... But there's no way we couldn't invite them either!

And *hugs* for you MFD, for being so generous with yours... We're snowing too... Sent Aimee out to play... She was back in before I'd even finished hoovering the stairs!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Local shop - closing down sale!!!! If it had been a national shop I woulda shouted from the rooftops for all to hear.

Got some newborn 0-3 months and some 3- 6 months. Gorgeous one with Roo from Winnie The Pooh (I like Winnie the Pooh and plan to decorate nursey with it as I grew up reading the books) with a 'Little Roo' hat!!! Soooooooooooooo cute! Oh yeah and some little Tigger shoes which OH wanted.

Anyone know of anywhere I can get some WTP stickers from? Want to put some on the changing unit to add some colour as it's just white and pine. Also want to get a Johnsons box in White and want to add some colour to that too.
