Morning! I'm up too, but only just long enough to roll out of bed, grab a bowl of Frosties and switch the laptop on.. Still eating the Frosties :D

Mel, it's not so much that I think I'm having a girl, just everyone around me does - MIL is a medium (psychic type thingy!) and she's convinced  OH also has a bit of a "gift" (not sure I believe in it all myself!) and he's forever calling the baby "she".. Scan is on 3rd March and it's just doing my head in not knowing now! :o

As for paperwork, I know I've kept it all but only through laziness not organisation! I have a huge storage box that I throw "should keep but can't be bothered to file!" type letters in so it's all in there if I ever need to refer back to it.

My OH is holding out for the day I start nesting - I think he's going to get the camcorder out to record such a rare event! ;) Is it helping work away the stress too? Have the Benefits board been any help? :)

Elle My friend saw a psychic while preg but before she knew she was and the psychic told her she was preg and it would be a boy - half right it was a girl :p

I beleive in "the gift" my sis used to work with someone who had it but kept it quiet, it was when she worked in a nursing home and one of the residents had died, my sis was saying how on the night our gt granddad died he visited her in the night and the woman said did he look like this and described him. My sis was like yes how the hell do u kno that and she said I can see him him follows you everywhere

I like watching the programmes on tv when it's about other people but when it's about people I know I get a bit freaked.

I told my MIL that my mum had seen a psychic and was keen to know if there was the spirit of anyone around her - I knew my mum was thinking of her uncle but didn't say that. MIL disappeared to another room, fetched a drawing pad and pencil and drew a picture of a man. I didn't know who it was but she said to take it home and show it to my mum. I did, and my Grandma was there too (it was her brother mum was thinking of) and they both nearly fell over in shock when I showed them the picture - apparently it was almost photo-like of my mum's uncle's best friend. They'd been inseperable for years. MIL's explanation was the friend was coming through clearer and she didn't know which was mum's uncle and which was the friend so drew the strongest spirit (friend had been dead longer)..

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow... and I can't wait. Hate the random heaves, plus I have a cold coming on so everytime I cough, I heave, I blow my nose, I heave.... lovely.

I'm hungry but I don't know what I want and I'm too lazy to go make it, phooey!

Also have a notion to clean the kids room of doom.... scared.

Speaking of my mum and MIL.. My parents haven't met my inlaws yet :o (well, OH's parents - we're not married but call them inlaws). I have no idea when to introduce them, and how!!

Mum said "I'm not meeting them in the hospital after you've given birth - it has to be before!" but other than that inlaws haven't shown any interest in meeting mine. Me and OH have been together publically for almost two years but for about five months before that in secret (I *ahem* was in a half-hearted long distance relationship in that time and everyone knew of the other guy as my bf :o).

I can only think of a "housewarming" meal once the work on the house is done or engineering it so that one calls in when the other is here.. Anything like going out for a proper meal is too scary!! :(

I've been up and about a while, as I have had a stream of people collecting my freecycled stuff. My nosy neighbours have been watching in interest. They probably think we have the bailiffs in! or we are very dodgy!

Has anyone used a tummy tub before: http://www.tummytub.co.uk/about.html

I saw them on a baby programme when I was about 6 weeks and really wanted one but not sure if I should get one!

Elle - I think my in laws invited my 'rents in once when they came to pick me up together but your a bit grown up for that lol! I suppose being together since teens when we couldn't drive and still lived with our mums n dads has its advantages :D

Mooki - I've only ever seen the tummy tub in pictures so no idea if they are worth it but I think they are quite expensive so I never looked into it

  • Elle are you nervous about them meeting or is it just a case of it hasn't happened yet?

My parents and OH's can't stand each other (we are not married either but have been together over 15 years) and we try and organise it so that they don't have to see each other but every now and again it happens.

They both were here to see Millie on New Years Day, OH thought it hilarious that they all get competitive grandparent syndrome. That said, he rearranged his mother when they all wanted to come at the same time last Friday!

I suppose you could go into B&Q and get a toy tub the same size on the cheap! Now that's MSE :D

Me, I use the bathroom sink, then they are in the big bath with Mummy or Daddy. I don't bathe them every night either, both my boys would break out in itchy dry skin if I did.

I have a bucket you could borrow mookie... Probably has the same effect ;)

My new hoover is now assembled... Planning to go and try it in Aimee's room now it's all tidy... Unfortunately, she appreciates its tidy so much, we haven't seen her since she got back from Nanny's, she's just been upstairs playing!

Realised last night that we hadn't added my step sisters 2 children to Aimee's invite list so that's just pushed the number of children up... Going to cost us £140 just for the party! I'm a bit annoyed really that there's some children on there that I 'have' to invite for political reasons... They are children of a friend and the youngest is in the same year as Aimee but different class... I'm pretty sure they never play together.... But I have to invite them anyway... And the older sibling... Who I know for sure she never plays with... I would just invite the younger one but hubby thinks we should invite both just to be fair (which I have in previous years, but my Mum paid for one party and the other was at my house so didn't matter so much) So I suggested not inviting either... But that could upset the friend... Blummin politics!!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
