Elle - I see now, I didn't realise everyone was saying it is a girl...

Sorry I just ran off before without replying. I just suddenly got a bee in my bonnet about tidying the boys room...I ended up in there for nearly 2 hours sorting, cleaning, and hoovering everywhere, even under the bed!! Changed bed linen (which being bunk beds is not easy) Washed the window sills, and blinds....which are those flaming venetian things which gather the dust loads. Then sorted out the curtains on the landing which were falling down and hoovered there too. Along with sorting out bedding for us and putting dinner in the slow cooker...I am shattered now and aching.

I also sat down with all my payslips for the last 2 years and went through them...turns out I have done 12 extra shifts since April 2007, and some of those weren't even 8hrs they were 5/6hrs???? Not exactly a serial overtimer am I??? Although I didn't actually realise I had done that many to be honest. I would have thought more like 5-6...just shows eh?

    Mel x

Must be something in the water, we're all tidying the kids rooms! And I hear you on the bed making front Mel, Aimee has a mid sleeper, I can't tuck the sheet in the other side... It's now hubby's job to put her sheet on!

Glamazon, try Focus or B&Q for stick arounds, they're bound to have winnie the pooh...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hello Ladies!

Music during labour - it is actively recommended at our hospital and is supposed to make the mother more relaxed - especially music with no lyrics...actually thinking about it, was the question about wearing headphones during labour

Sorry, it was me who asked. I was refering more to headphones. Music through a simple good old speaker in the room is fine, but an ipod? How would you listen to MW and Doctors with headphones in?

Actually music generally annoys me anyway, as does TV. I'd rather sit in silence and read a book! :D Although I was not happy when in labour with DS1 they turned A&E off cos a woman was on tv really giving it an oscar winning labour! They turned that off and I got irritated by the woman in the room next to mine trying to best tv woman

    I must be easily annoyed...

Anyone know of anywhere I can get some WTP stickers from? Want to put some on the changing unit to add some colour as it's just white and pine. Also want to get a Johnsons box in White and want to add some colour to that too.

B&Q had them about 8 years ago! :rotfl: WTP is still popular and I am sure I have seen them about still.
  • LOL - one of the 'conditions' ( ;) ) of us buying DSS a bunk bed was that he had to change the bedclothes himself. Supervised of course (terrified of him falling off!) but he is 9 so has his own chores...actually I think he has more chores at our house than he does at his own and we only have him at the weekend :o but hubby and I believe it is important that he mucks in.

I sent hubby off to MILs for a while so I could get some work done without him bothering me...starting to hit home that I only have NINE days left at work

    Thanks everyone

oh, amazon - almost like my name! Not that I'm a big, muscly amazone type woman, quite the opposite. There's a WWE female wrestler who's nickname is the Glamazon - nicked it off her as thought it sounded good!!!

I know certain songs which seemsto make me wanna drive faster when I'm in the car - weird I know but I'm sure we all do! Will get compliation of them for labour I think, might make me push harder!!!

I am glad it is not just me lol - when I am in the house on my own I only turn the TV on occasionally, have a flick through and more often than not switch it off again. Hubby thinks I am weird!!

I am happier pottering about or even sitting just thinking than with the TV on - I find it very boring :o and the incessant noise drives me nuts!

I quite like to listen to the radio though...
