Anyone else on the east coast? It's getting really windy here - supposed to start snowing soon!
OH starts work at 7.20am and I start at 8.30am but I'm seriously contemplating getting up early and going in with him rather than driving myself on Monday and Tuesday if the snow is really bad..
Don't know if it's going as far up as Edinburgh but good job rmac is planning a homebirth! Speaking of which.. hope you're okay! xx0 -
Elle did you get snow at new year?
We had tonnes here but there was nothing in Beverley while we were there for NYE!

Nope, not had anything significant this winter yet at all.
I'm amazed that all of them actually implanted and stayed there.. You read so many stories about IVF with just one or two being put in failing - how come she managed to get eight put in and them all stick?!
Night night xx0 -
Gah, I'm in agony... Just spent 3 hours decrapping Aimee's bedroom... I can't believe the amount of stuff she has! Been on my knees and sitting on the floor, can hardly move now...
Elle, your house sounds like mine... I just seem to collect clutter and no matter how much I throw out there's always twice as much next time you look...
And those who were asking about MP3 players during labour earlier? I took a CD player in when I had Aimee, only used it for the last couple of hours when I was in the labour suite (private room) but I found having music really helped me concentrate... And Aimee was born to the Cranberries... Will do it again this time too!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm determined to change - it's just happening slowly
Is Aimee's room finished now or there more to do?
Anyone know if you are allowed radios in labour rooms? Our hospital is all private ensuite rooms where you stay for the whole time you're there. I think I'd rather have the radio on for something ever changing than CDs.0 -
Just a couple of bits to pick up off the floor (I couldn't bend down any more lol) and hoovering but it's passable now!
I should think you'd be allowed a radio as much as a CD player... The CD player we have plays MP3's burnt to disc so we should get a couple of hours music on 1 disc... Hubby was going on about what songs he was going to put on until I reminded him it was me who was going to be in labour and me who was going to choose what we listened to TYVM!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... elle and Krystaltips, my flat is a complete mess which is why I have started to declutter as my only incentive is that I want to make a proper little nursery for Beanie. I also dont want my MW or the HV coming to visit and feeling ashamed about the mess. Sometimes I wish someone would empty my flat and I could just start again by putting back only the things I need. I'm a big fan of keeping bits of paper like bills and bank statements (usually unopened), just in case! Just in case has never happened yet though, so I dont know why I still do it. The other things clutter the house are unwanted gifts like xmas presents. i feel so so bad selling them or giving them away that they just stay there in the spare room. Well no more i'm afraid, I am having to close my eyes and be ruthless!!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

Lol Mookie, I have a cupboard and filing boxes for all bills that come in... I keep most things for 12-24 months... Tax credits and paperwork from DWP I will keep forever... Christmas presents I don't want are put into the built in cupboard waiting for someone to have a birthday so I can pass them on
I just acumulate crap... Stuff of no significance that doesn't seem to live anywhere... And it gets moved around... From dining room to bedroom... Back to dining room... Or wherever there's a space... And even though we emptied the living room out last week and painted it... I've been really careful about what comes back in... It still looks like a tip! But I think that's the 4 year old and the man of the house....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... OMG, I think we could be the same person!! I gathered up all the post that was lying around earlier and, I'm not kidding, the pile is more than 3" high, mostly unopened (bank statements that I've seen online anyway, that sort of thing). Have also got the same prob with the xmas presents - I have a list for a reason but some people just don't seem to get it!!
My biggest "dumping ground" is the spare room.. aka soon to be nursery!! Don't know what I'm going to do without that room.. well, get organised, hopefully!0
