This might sound a bit selfish, given that I would be uprooting Beanie from her comfort zone, but I would rather be induced as soon as poss.
I'm only able to take 6 weeks maternity leave as it is so want to maximise the amount of time I spend with beanie. I am not starting maternity leave till the day i'm due and only then because I have to. I would continue to stay at work until I went into labour if i could just so that I could maximise the amount of time I spent with beanie before I went back!!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
Do you think he can be persuaded with a curry?
We were doing fine, really active until early this year (about 5 weeks ago so I would be about 33 weeks) when we (both) had a bit of a 'baby is in the way' moment. We have only done it twice since them *ahem* both times for my benefit only IYSWIM.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

OH had to sign on due to absolutly no work here, i recieved a letter stating that i have to go for a getting back to work interview next mon(23rd) i stated that i will either be overdue or have a new baby but they have stated if i do not attend then they will stop our money?? do yu not get so long before you are required to work?? we have had word on up and coming work for OH but really i feel that they are taking the pi** wanting me to go in so soon after/during pregnancy? What's for you won't go past you0 -
I know I prob shouldn't say this but I only know one person who went significantly over and the baby died whilst still inside. If baby had come earlier then he would have been fine, there was nothing physically wrong with him found in the postmortem. There is no way in this world that I would take that risk.
That was about 4 years ago now but I think about what that couple must have gone through every day at the moment. Hopefully you will be like a friend of mine who finished work on the day before she was due (it was a friday and she's a teacher so no work on saturdays) she went into labour that night and was home saturday morning with her baby
I don't need to worry about that aspect with me being a SAHM, My thoughts on it are that for squllions of years and still now in 3rd world etc your baby is born when it comes as there was no other option. I'm at reduced "risk" of going over with it being my 2nd I think but my mum has said it needs to come early or on time coz she'll be on half term hols then so can spend lots of time with us0 -
sls i hope it has moved for you will keep fingers crossed!
MFD a friends sister had this happen recently and it was heartbreaking for all, there was nothing wrong with baby at all and if they induced her when they said they would he would have been fine? What's for you won't go past you0 -
ime the only thing that started labour was giving dh the "ok, I really don't feel up to this - but I am so bloomin' uncomfortable I will do anything look" If you can muster the energy/are under the threat of induction worth a try. I went overdue by 5/2/5days and with the girls was booked in to see the consultant the day after they were born.
nice to see you back caz passing some labour vibes your way!0 -
Caz, are you any closer on choosing a name now? Not asking what it is though, unless you wanna tell
ETA: Re the money, are they aware you're pregnant again? Maybe Charlie turning one has triggered something on their system to ask you to come in..0
