  • chasing - it's annoying how things change isn't it?

Hubby bought me a lavender wheat bag thingy when I first got pregnant (I think it was my shoulder that was hurting) but it said not suitable during pregnancy.

Then, at waterbirth class the other day the MW was selling the same bags to help ease the pain during the first stages of labour

(I did, of course, use mine at the time ;) )

Its because Lavendar is a uterine stimulant ;) although it would appear to be fine in small amounts and is safe for labour because you want the uterus to bet stimulated then!:D

I'm with u though I would have used it

    Hi all..

*hugs* to all, especially tara! I'm never usually that brave, but I think even I would phone the hospital again and request another scan, saying you're not happy with the one you just got. Or get your midwife to do it.. You never know, they might give you another.. :)

According to everyone at work I've grown again and bump is more visable. One of the guys (44 and no children, nor interest in having them) is taking a great interest and we spent lunchtime discussing maternity clothes. He was muchos interested in the elastic and buttons thing in the waistband of my trousers!

I'm tired tonight but OH seems to have decided tonight is a good night for a sort out so we're going to go through all the post which is just piling up and make sure there aren't any unpaid bills in there or anything.. oh joy!

Back from Docs and not signed off - HOWEVER - she wants me to see occ health at work (already requested) and I shouldn't push it too much. If I don't feel up for driving in then self certify for now but if she signs me off then I'd have to be signed back on before I could return to work and obviously an amicable solution would be better all round.
So... looks like I'll be heading out for a 365 mile drive tomorrow - painkillers in hand.
Alas it doesn't seem like work are going to be amicable so this could be fun... At least if it comes to it I can show I have honestly tried everything I can to resolve the matter and they have been contrary all the way...

How long has she been having lessons for?
And when you first started did you have to go into the pool with her?
I want to sign DS up who is 5 in June but really dont want to have to go in with him :o

My son is 6 in July and has been swimming for nearly 18mths. He was 4+2mths when he started. I didn't get in the pool and as I'm such a terrible mummy I avoided any eye contact when he was looking worried. He was in a class of 6 and took him 20mins to swim a few metres. Now he's doing his level 8 badge with kids 2 years older. The moral, put him in and look away! ;)
Too many children, too little time!!!

Just managed to book a private scan for a week on Saturday. It's miles away but I don't care.

I've looked at my notes and there is nothing in them about todays scan. I don't understand why she wouldn't even tell me the measurements. She just said a bit out according to my due date but probably her measuring. I've got a measurements chart in my note for scans but it's not on there?

Thanks, I've been trying to get hold of the people who organise it at out leisure centre but get a voicemail everytime, think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and leave a message (I hate leaving messages, I stutter and probably sound like a div)
I cant swim very well and in all fairness have no desire to, plus I look like a beached whale, so i[m hoping they dont need me to go in, I think it would be best that was or they would need to literally pry DS off of me.
