  • Tara- thats brilliant, Millie is also 5 and she won;t let go of the edge! She can swim but she hates it!

Molly Poor you, i hate the dentist and only plucked up the courage to register and go earlier this year after 10 years without going. Hope the antibiotics do their stuff and that you don't feel too awful on them, At least not being able to drink on them won't be a problem!

    Hello

Well I am a Mummy now!!!! To a little girl called Annabel Rose. She was born at 11.39am, Friday 6th february and weighed 8lbs 10oz, with a huge shock of dark hair like mummy and daddy.

I'm not going to post my birth story just now, but the home birth didn't work out - nothing to do with home births though - little Annabel and I weren't well and we needed to be blue lighted to the hospital :( She was in neonatal care for a while and I was in high dependency so poor hubby had to run between us for a few days. I just got home and although a bit sore and VERY tired I'm so in love.

I promise to comeback and fill in the blanks at a later date (soon hopefully).

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!! :T :T :j :j :j

I hate the dentist too, I shake and cry as soon as I get in the dentist chair! I actually warned my FIL, who was waiting for me outside, that if they had to do any work on me I would be in a right state when I came out!
(Believe it or not I used to work in a dental surgery, I didn't have any phobia of the dentists before working there :o )

Molly I had to have one out some years ago and it was horrid... :( I'd knocked the tooth and it cracked the root and caused an abcess... anti biotics didn't touch it so after trying to drain it etc they said the infection was getting into the bone and it was gonna have to come out... by then I didn't care I just wanted the pain to be gone! Soon as she pulled it the relief was instant! Pure bliss! :)
I'm sure they'll do everything they can to sort it without pulling it if they can :)

  • Could really do with some help/guidance from some with knowledge of panic disorders, but Mental Health Team here are next to useless. I'm getting discharged in March, despite having been given no treatment. I won't even have had the baby by then!

    I'm having a bad day today :o

Is it ok if I pm you later? It will give me a chance to try and put my (positive) experience into some order. I don't mind posting in the thread - but it would probably end up being a long post :o

AM - I think the key points that allow the mw to be more receptive to you being allowed to leave from the delivery suite are, baby and mum both ok, mum and baby have been able to establish feeding, mum has eaten (toast ime) It wasn't until 3rd baby that I managed to [STRIKE]escape[/STRIKE] leave from the delivery suite dd2 arrived @10.15pm we were on our way home @ 2.30am.

    lisabell - (hugs)

Nicki - glad your scan went well.

hugs to everyone else - need to feed the troops

That'd be great CB, thank you :)

So glad he is the right way! Annoying about the blood results, did you get to find out if you are anemic?

Now that is scary She was as pregnant as me! Oh dear, I'm really going to have a baby aren't I?!
So they have given me a weeks course of anti biotics and if the swelling hasn't started to go down by the end of the week, I have to back and I may have to have another tooth out. My jaw is so swollen, I had to wrap a scarf around my face as I was so embarrassed about going out like that - I thought I might frighten young children!

Aww, hope it gets better soon. I've never had any serious dental problems, but tooth ache is just one of those awful pains isn't it? Fingers crossed the antibiotics help.

I had awful teeth as a child, but the past 3 check-ups have been fine! Not sure why, I've not changed anything, must have just been a childhood thing.

I can't be bothered to go out, I wanna have a bath and put my pj's on. DS got swimming at 5pm. Wish OH would start work a bit earlier sometimes and take his turn, it's so hot sitting by the pool.

Hope it isn't too bad by the pool tonight. I'm just out the bath, and I want to get into my jammies, but have to go out tonight. I've not been to an AA meeting since before Christmas and I expect they've all thought I've fallen off the face of the earth. Its just so tiring to go out and do things!

Notice how I work less and post more when work pee me off? I loose all my focus and motivation when they start faffing around and being difficult and I get nothing done... *sigh* why can't they just leave me alone and let me do my ruddy job!

I see your green light is still on, hope you are enjoying not working like a maniac for a change! Fingers crossed you get everything sorted with work. I know what you mean about losing motivation - OHs last company had some very silly and inflexible policies. He is a fantastic worker, all he wanted was to be treated with a bit of respect. Doesn't take much to treat people like people!
Did you get an appointment for tomorrow?
I like the advice I have been given it seems a lot less scary than what alot of "big girls" seem to be given.

I think had some one been nasty to me I would either start crying or thump them... thsi seems to be my most recent coping mechanism ....mainly crying, with thumping reserved for my annoying brother

I like the sound of your obstetrician! I was almost crying when I had to see the consultant the other day. I actually asked the Midwife if I could see someone else, and luckily I had a much nicer lady. I mean, I know I'm on the big side, but what can I really do about it now? I'm fat and I'm pregnant, is scaring me really the right way to go about things? Luckily all the Midwives have been fine. I just need to avoid this one Consultant!

Scan went well this morning. My dates are right. I am 6+4. Saw (and heard) lovely strong heartbeat - 120 bpm. Baby is a bit bigger than average for dates - 9mm already! - but all looks well.
Next scan and antenatal appt is 17 March! Feels a long time away.

Glad scan went well! March sounds like a long time, but its only a little over a month! It'll be Christmas again before we know it!
