  • Does isofix seats mean baby can only travel in your own car?

    xx

    Nope - the car seat will fix in any car with the seatbelts (like a normal babyseat) you can also move the base from car to car I believe (although apparently they are very heavy).

    There is also another version called an Easybase which is a base that is fitted into your car using your seatbelts (which I might have to get for my civic if this one doesn't fit - honda won't guarantee that it will...or that it won't :mad: )

    Think i'm doing ok than, i've signed up to the pampers website for the vouchers etc and i have been warned well away from huggies nappies, been told they are rubbish by numerous people, suppose it depends on the baby tho and the mum, whichever they prefer to use

    :eek::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

    Quick, everyone, hide your boxes of 10! :D

    Ann, I have onnly ever used Huggies and wouldn't dare switch in case they weren't as good, but different brands suit different babies (and purses! ;)).

    you need to check the maxi-cosi website (sorry, we keep cross posting!!!)

    Nothing entered on maxi cosi site for my car... I know it has isofix but as far as I can see there are no details for any passats on the maxi cosi site - it's an 08 plate tho so might just be too new? :confused:

    It's not that simple either I am afraid (I have been chasing my tail on this for months...and hubby spent a lot of last week on the phone to maxi-cosi and honda trying to clarify the position).

    I have bought one because I know it fits in hubby's car and I can try it in mine and then go and get a professional to check it to see if it is safe.

    If it is not listed on the maxi-cosi website then you need to speak to passat and see what they say...

    Sorry MrsT, I feel responsible now :o

    Ooh, enjoy your date MFD... I've been getting some very wordy texts from hubby today... Think seducing him last night has made him all loved up... Got me the best nights sleep in a week though!
