tara - I love you. That's exactly what I am hoping for!!!

MFD - planning on being as mobile as possible, but the pool will be set up in the nursery as it has a hard floor and we don't currently use that room much (it was a guest bedroom), plus it's easy to close the door on any mess afterwards! I also imagine I'll use the bath and possibly my bedroom (there is something so appealing about climbing into my own bed with baby and hubby after its all over).

PS your bath sounds nice :D

    AAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Aaahhhhhh, that's a little bit better.

Sitting at my desk trying not to cry, but people are clearly looking at me thinking 'the pregnant lady is about to burst into tears, must keep out her way'.

I started this job in December after being made redundant at about 9 weeks gone, it was a 20% pay cut but I had to take the first thing I was offered that at least enable us to still pay the bills, as the longer I left it, the more obvious it would become that I was pregnant and regardless of the rules I knew prospective employers wouldn't take too kindly to it and I'd not get the job. I worked the money out so many times to check it was enough (having done payroll in my last job, I knew what I was doing). It worked out that after we'd paid all outgoings, we'd have £100 per month left over to share, tight but do-able especially as we don't need to buy a lot of things for baby thanks to family. The important thing is, because I will only get MA, I needed this money to save up to afford time off after the birth.

Today was my first full pay, as last month was only part month, and it's worked out just over £100 less than I calculated! payroll are insisting it's correct and will be this every month now, however I can't see how. So there goes the 'extra' and now I can't put anything by to have more time off after the birth, so far I had saved enough for 2 months but I feel that's too early to go back full time (as I'd need to for the money).

Just feeling sorry for myself right now, I worked everything out so carefully to be sure it was financially right to take the job. At least bills will be paid yes, but now I have to worry about having to go straight back to work afterwards and having to pay for full time childcare at 2 months old, which wasn't what we wanted.

I know no-one can help, but I have to get this moan out. Normally I'd ring DH at work, but over this he'd spend the rest of the day panicking over it because I'd be in a right state when I call him.

The thing that makes me bitter is that we waited to try for a baby until my job was established and I was on good money so that I could afford to do it part time permanently after the birth, and I was able to put a sizeable chunk away each month while pregnant to create a nice back-up for time off, and all that went out the window when I was made redundant! Well I guess you never know what's going to happen...

(Edit: Sorry, didn't know I went on so much here)

Really hope that no matter how big they go - they get smaller again afterwards. It's not funny having boobs that are bigger that your head!!!!

That seems to depend on the women. This is my third baby, and before I had my first one I was a 34C. I'm not any heavier than I was back then, but the boobs stayed bigger, even when bf stopped. I do know other women though who've got really attached to their pregnancy bazookas and then been dismayed when after the breast feeding has finished, they've been smaller than before they got pg. Hope you fit into the last category!

MFD - will be interesting to see what hubby thinks after the antenatal classes. i am surprised he is coming actually as he is very shy with people he doesn't know, but if he knows you, hold on to yourself becuase he will take the mick out of you any way he can.

good thought re dinner after so you can have a chat about it without any interuptions.

Hubby said he really enjoyed our classes

I can see me and hubby now - fancy italian, low lights, background music, candles...and conversations about poo sharks :rotfl:

    Thanks Nicki

I am sensitive to hormones which is why they got big in the 1st place from being on the pill. I changed to a Progesterone Only Pill but it was too late then - although after my first op I had the implant which is progesterone and they got bigger again hence 2nd op. With all these raging hormones inside me now I've got no hope!
I just really hope I can BF and that they go down afterwards but everyone is different and each pg can be different so I'll have to wait and see. At least OH will be happy again!!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

i really hope my hubby gets something out of the classes. just feel being pregnant is all about 'me' and not him (thankfully he does not read MSE or i will never live that comment down). though i know he will be amazing when his baby arrives (oh, getting a bit emotional there)

I have had a good long look for medical evidence to suggest otherwise but I don't think there is any (IMHO). Maybe Weasl can point us to some.

Not exactly 'medical' evidence, but a bit of info on the babycentre website.

i can't offer any advice becuase as you say you researched your finances so much, that i am sure you have looked at the entitledto website to calculated tax credits/child benefit etc.

Well, this is now officially my longest pregnancy - 38+4.
DS arrived at 38+3 and DD 38+1.

Only been off work for a week, but the house is spotless and now i'm bored!

Had a whole pineapple last night after tea, all that gave me was a sore mouth.

OH looks horrified at me when I suggest he could 'help things along' - i think he's scared that if he does, i'll instantly give birth when he's finished - if only it was that easy.

Might go for a drive over to Babies R Us to see if they've got the Marlowe changing unit in stock - its not available on line, but did i read that someone got one in store the other day? Its the only one i've found that will fit in the gap i need to fill.
