  • Jamz & Mrs Jamz- congratulations on your new arrival - she is gorgeous!

I have had a bit of good news, my DH has managed to get next week off work, and he said he is going to look into us maybe going away for a few days :j . He has promised to take me to asda tomorrow see what baby stuff they have left as well!

I think in the last week, he has realised it is actually going to happen - we are going to have a baby  . He is taking a huge amount of interest and initiative in all things baby - he even suggested going to look at prams last weekend without being prompted by me (He even wanted to buy one there and then in the shop, but I said it was too soon!)

  • Sorry just another quick question, I notice that you all seem to be having lots of appointments either mw / hv or at the hospital - is this how it should be?

The only reason I ask is that I've just had my booking in one which lasted about 20 mins and then the first scan at 12 weeks and apart from the blood tests today I'm not booked to see anyone until my 20 week scan. Don't know if this is right or not

Mollie - it would be lovely if you managed to get away next week :D
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

Hey SB - great minds think alike. I've gone over all sickie and I have a chicken and mushroom 'What not in a pot - Pot Noodle'

I liked the Marlow too - so you have had the last one hey?! Might just get the IKEA one that you have for Chris - seems it's long lasting, if you were still on a budget would you buy it again?

good thinking with the emergency tax for Honeypop = get them to go thru it with u.

Also, don't mean to seem dim but what are 'poo sharks' or don't I want to know?!!

i had my booking appt at 8 weeks (bloods too), scan at 12 weeks (bloods too), scan at 20 weeks (bloods too) and then my next appt was with midwife at 26 or 28 weeks (i think) to discuss scan result. Now from 30 weeks it's every two weeks.

I am 34 weeks today and had growth scan yesterday but that was due to a higher than normal bmi.

i differs on what area of the country you live in i believe

Could eat Pot Noodles til the cows came home when I was a teen - nowdays, I will really fancy one and then about halfway thru really regret it, I'm the same with Kebabs - um, doner meat and chips with chilli and garlic sauce.

After hearing that a kebab can have pork, lamb and beef in it, and has 2,000 cals with high fat and salt content - think I'll have to pass on that one for now. Maybe after the birth

I'd deff recommend the Ikea one its done a fab job and I would have been happy to keep using it for bump  It was just as this one was planned we saved up beforehand so we could get some of the flashy stuff

a pooh shark is poop in the bath/birthing pool so called because everyone has to get out of the water :p

    What's the tripple test?
The Wigan Community MW's are lovely - was talking to one here at work yday (she's Irish and has been so helpful) wish I came under Wigan for MW care but I don't.

Hope my MW is nice - like MrsTine said would rather have a nice MW and late appts.

Ah - you mean a 'floater' - know what you mean now!!!

Will go and look at the IKEA one further down the line thanks Hun, just glad it's not far away from me. OH is looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow as we've been early birds all week and I'm looking forward to a rest, this pg lark is already taking it's toll!
