I'm sure you will manage, it is amazing how you can adapt your lifestyle to the means you have available.
May seem like a silly question but can you get any overtime? I'm working loads of overtime at the moment and have been promised more - will use this money for after birth as I will only get SMP (Stingy employers). Hope to get as much OT in as possible before I tell them I'm pg - I know they will stop it like a shot and will start treating my really differently.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I feel a bit calmer, I do tell myself not to stress over things you can't change.
Now there's some advice that we could all do with taking on board.
Right - I am off up to Manchester to go and sort out some squabbling boys on site
Feelie - I will not be thinking of you as I pass sandbach services this time
((HUGS)) to everyone.

Thanks you two for the hugs, never had virtual hugs on a forum before, but then I always thought my problems were too trivial to post about, this rant had to come out though before I sent the whole office running with my anger lol!
I've checked out the site to see what we'd get but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference due to our earnings. I will see about perhaps getting a little job on a weekend day too, but not sure how viable this is. Daren't ask DH to get a weekend job as he does 60 hrs Mon-Fri, I don't think he'd be that receptive to the idea!

Sorry to hear this Honeypop - the only recommendation I can make (but I' sure you have looked at this) Is, You say your combined wages are only just covering the bills now, can you cut your bills down.....I don't know if any of this applies to you but maybe if you have two cars can you cope with one, or cut out Sky/Virgin packages, if you have loans/credit cards can you renegotiate a new repayment plan etc. etc...as I say, you probably have looked at all this so just ignore me...
Have some ((hugs)) anyway, I think you need some too.;)

MFD - I'm here  Still being a rebel
I had a lovely dippy fried egg at the weekend mmm!
I'm still feeling sorry for my poor MW tho - bless her "will you let me take some blood today?" Me: "nope" :A0 -

not sure what your occupation is honeypop or what your interests are, but have you thought about popping over to the 'maximising your income' thread. maybe you might find something there that you would do whilst at home with bubs (aqa/mystery shopping) to help things along?0 -

He is giving me a lift there, so hopefully he'll want to come in. Otherwise I'm going to be a young Mum on my own in a class of very posh ladies with thier husbands! Best get my 'I am married you know' sign out.
The classes I had last time really didn't tell us much anyway, My OH just did as he was told by me/MW and that was good enough for methe MW and my mum were of the most "use" to be honest. but my mum was mostly useful because whenever I'm upset, ill etc the first thing I say is "I want to go home to my mummy":o

Thanks for the help, we got rid of Sky when I was made redundant as were using the box to get freeview as we don't have an aerial, but last week the box broke so now we only have the 5 basic channels like in the olden days! Nothing on credit cards thankfully, we use the gas and electric sparingly etc. Good thought about one car, we both work daytime hours 30 miles apart so couldn't share, I can't get public transport to mine as it's remote and he'd have to leave 2 hours earlier to get to his, which is unfair to add to the 12 hr shift already. But I will ask him if any colleagues lived nearby who might be interested in giving him a lift each day for a fee which is a lot less than running his car. Will ponder this over with him tonight.
I'm off home now, I think I worked myself up so much earlier that I'm feeling really out of sorts. A nice sleep, bath and relax should do the trick!0 -
Morning all
Gosh you ladies can talk - LOL
Only a quick one from me for now, off to the hospital later this afternoon for my downs check but hopefully everything will be OK, then this weekend hoping to spend some time planning what we need to get done / what we need to buy as in all honesty with everything else going on I've not even thought about me, so DH and I are planning a nice baby planning weekendYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Honey: could the accounts people talk you through exactly how they've worked it? If you were so sure of you sums it would seem unlikely that you would end up being so far out considering ur background.
possibly a silly Qu but are you on emergency tax code? thats always my 1st thought in the early days of a job0
