  • Daddy is home! :j:rotfl:

Poppy is napping and DH has Jamie downstairs = Mummy still in bed! :D

    xx
  • Elle - I took a pair of maternity jeans back to Next on monday that I had bought on 3rd December :o I just looked sheepish and said I was really sorry and the SA said - I will need to check with my manager but I am sure it will be okay :T

AF - early induction  I will do anything to avoid being induced (classed as medical intervention in my hospital so you are then limited on what you can do and need to be monitored etc)

We are going to waterbirthing class tonight :T

MFD - not really wanting an early induction as such, would rather bubs came when he was ready, but just a bit worried about going over and bubs getting really big (irrational i know, and i guess that is why i didn't ask the question yesterday).

oh, waterbirthing class....i would soooooooooooooo love that but hubby is not so receptive (not sure if i could even have a water birth with a higher bmi than normal  )

did you see the doc on channel 4, is it dawn porter when the woman had a water birth (oh think i now remember you saying you haven't seen any birthing videos/docos). it all looked so lovely.

    Hello peeps
SB - i forgot to say yest the new Poppy pic is V cute!
I've been lusting after those mat PJs from mothercare! I think I'll splash out once hubby has been paid :D

AF: Late baby doesn't mean big baby Chris was exactly 14 days OD (By my blatantly correct dates as confirmed by the paediatrician that saw him at 2days) and was 6lb 12oz and if you look at our recent births on the list thats a nice small size :D

PS. I'm going to avoid being induced like the plague, I haven't raised it with the MW coz they already get annoyed with me so will wait and see but I'm gonna try and find out the stats for letting me go up to 3wks over :o I've no ides if I will need to tho so finger's crossed coz I don't wanna go over for selfish reasons (ie its my birthday at the end of june )
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Thanks Sami and Tine :) I knew it was something about the heat, but as I've not been in one before I don't know how hot they usually are..

I'm going to a mini-CentreParcs type place in Derbyshire, staying in a pinelodge :)

As a spa lover, I have had to ask this a few times since being pregnant. Every time, I have been told that although you can go in a jacuzzi, you mustn't sit right in the way of the bubble jets, just sit somewhere inbetween so it's not blowing straight on you. If it's a hot tub, it's different and you can't use it at all due to the heat, but a standard jacuzzi which is normal temperature but just with bubbles, then you can use it but not sitting right next to the jet. The only part of you that can get direct jet is the legs, so you could sit on the side to put these in.
  • AF as Sami says above late doesn't mean big, Millie was 2 weeks late and weighed 6lb 13oz
    MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £58774
  • AF - hubby might think differently after you have been to the hospital and your parentcraft classes...it wasn't til hubby had heard about all the benefits etc for himself that he would consider any of that 'hippy nonsense' :rotfl:

I have booked us into the best Italian in the area for after the class so at least we will be able to have a chat about it afterwards without interruption from the TV  :D and I am beginning to feel like our nights out together are getting limited

My brother and his OH are going out next Sat to celebrate their 10th anniversary and their 2 boys will be stopping at my mums house...this will be the first time the little one has spent a night apart from them since he was born and he is 3 at the end of march

I was telling my dad last night that they will be having grandson no. 3 overnight before he hits 3 months, never mind 3 years :rotfl:

Grrr.. I definitely need another new bra! Was a 34D, am now wearing a 36D and I think I ought to be getting a 36DD. Will be rivalling my sister if this carries on - she's a 32H! (and never been pregnant)

I'm normally a 32E (so not a small girl anyway) and when I went to be measured again earlier in the week, I was a 34G  I was so embarrassed I pretended to the fitter that I was about 10 weeks, rather than just 5. :D

I was surprised to find that you can apparently now continue to wear underwires provided they are properly fitted. I ended up with 3 underwired ones, which are extremely comfortable and supportive. Mind you, when I tried them on, I did turn to the fitter and say "Not very attractive, are they?" and she grimaced and said "That's what it's going to be like for you for the forseeable future!"
