    Sparkle, you just reminded me!

Don't know if it was mentioned on the other thread, but Lidl have got the long sleeping pillows (4' long), Steve brought one home for me the other day and I can honestly say I feel sooooo comfortable in bed now and don't wake up and get out of bed like an 87 year old lol!

    They are only £9.78 too!

sorry i can't be of much help as this is my first pregnancy and my blood pressure has been okay.

i know SB had a few times where she had to go to hosptial becuase here BP was high and they just monitored her.

what time is it that you have to go?
  • I am booked in for the whole afternoon from 12-30 however have to have bloods taken about an hour before in the drop in blood centre so am planning on getting up there for 11-00. Will be leaving in about an hour. Wish I wasnt going to be on my own though.

oh i am so sorry you are having to go on your own. i had to go for a growth scan yesterday/bloods/consultant appt and cried when hubby couldn't come with me. i just tried to look at it that it will just make me stronger to get on and do it on my own. i have to learn to be strong for bubs (not normally a strong person me).

i am sure the nurses/midwives at the hosptial will be lovely so you will have support there whilst you are in.

have you got a good book or some trashy mags you can read whilst you are in there?
  • Will definately be picking up trashy mags on the way!! People think I am a strong person but really a softy at heart!! I really hoping they dont decide to keep me in - they have already suggested that if blood pressure remains high I will be induced at 36 weeks so my idea of maternity leave starting at 34 weeks and spending 6 weeks at home just me and my two year old has gone out the window!! I am suddenly realizing that if they induce at 36 weeks I have less than 6 weeks to buy everything!!

can't believe it's almost 9am already! Have a friend coming over this morning, then MW over sometime this afternoon - I think she's going to give me a sweep if everything looks ok.

Poor hubby is desperate for baby to arrive and finding this week later thing very difficult. :D

Congratulations to Jamz and Mrs Jamz xxxx

it's difficult isn't it, especially where you have organised things to be a certain way and like you say if you are induced at 36 weeks, then your plans change BUT, the main thing is that you and bubs are okay and you and your family will of course adapt.

i have 6 - 8 weeks to go (34 weeks today  ) and it's only been the last week or so that i have got stuck into buying things.
  • Thanks r.mac - hope things getting moving along for you very soon. I went overdue a week with DS1 and I can remember the feeling of just sitting around waiting for something to happen. I went into labour naturally the day I was due to be induced.

Congratulationd Mr & Mrs Jamz - she is absolutely beautiful!!

When I was up the hospital yesterday there was a new mum and baby being discharged almost brought a tear to me eyes - you forget how tiny and adorable newborn babies are.
  • I have most things from DS2 but there is still lots to buy and i thought I would have 6 weeks at home to get organised. i cant rely on that now so will be sending OH shopiing at the weekend.
